Rank up gem bug?

I found this "bug" today, wanted to rank up some champs since I have 2 generic rank up gems in overflow expiring soon, so I took my BWDO to r3 with one of the gems and was planning to use the other one to rank up immortal abom, so when I reached r2 max level, it shows the option to use a rank up gem but since I also have science rank up gems, it only shows me the science gem. Basically the game won't let me choose between using the generic, which I want to since I have one expiring soon, or the science gem.

    That kinda sucks, now I will have to take up another champ to use my generic gem. Thanks!

    You have to contact kabam support:

    1..Tell them what champ you want to use the generic gem on

    2. They’ll email you back and tell you to rank up using the class gem & ask you to reply back to them after it’s done.

    3. From there, they will remove the generic gem from your inventory and put the class gem back into your inventory.

    Annoying, but this is the only way to use the generic gem right now.

    Thank you, I subbmited my request. Yes it is annoying but as long as it works it will be fine with me.

    I just heard back on my request today, they are no longer providing this service.
