Why I prefer using sentinel over warlock

This most likely isn’t controversial, but I felt like typing this out (I also had to re-type this because the first draft didn’t save)

Immunities
They both have poison and bleed immunity, but warlock has Coldsnap and Frosbite immunity. This one goes to warlock.

Passive effective and debuffs I’d say they’re ALMOST neck to neck here. They can both armor break, heal block and shock, but sentinel has a more potent shock even without ramp up. Warlocks heal block is also a part of his passive infection while sentinels is not passive. They both have armor up, but sentinel gains regen from a second armor up and his armor is passive. Warlock can also regenerate but gets his regen from his infection charges. Warlock applies bleed with his heavy which is useful against evade champs. I would say the same about sentinel and his shock but since he has a 2-hit heavy it usually gets evaded. Warlocks power drain is useful but isn’t great if you only have one infection or unless it’s his sp3. Sentinels incinerate is pretty nice, and does good damage. Sentinels charges are crucial for his actual damage and more utility. Once ramped up he gets 4-7k crits very consistently and applies armor break and incinerates through block which is pretty unique.

Special attacks and Animations

Animations goes to warlock easily.

*Some* special attacks have a very overlooked unique utility. Let me explain: I’m good with timing of my special attack timing, but there’s times where i mess up. That’s where this utility comes in, and it is:
DISTANCE
If you miss a special with warlock, you’re almost guaranteed to eat a combo since he doesn’t get pushed back far.(especially on his sp2) With sentinel, you get pushed back far enough to not get hit. on specials 1 AND 2!!!

Conclusion
The reason I like sentinel the most is probably his simplicity. Ramp up,watch the fight end. Warlock is simple but for some reason I just don’t enjoy him as much anymore. Anyway, these are reasons i like sentinel over warlock.

This is also surprisingly not as long as I thought. Wish I could write long paragraphs honestly

Warlock: even unduped still fully functional
Sentinel: unduped means u need more time to build analysis, no good for short / medium fight

Remember the title of this isn't "Sentinel>Warlock," it's his opinion that he enjoys playing sentinel more
My reply is my opinion on what I think about Sentinel vs Warlock, not Sentinel > Warlock. Some players won’t treat building analysis a thing. Which I said it is no good for short / medium fight, not said it is deal breaker.

Always something I look for in when ranking up a champ in case of bad timing or an evade. You're going to get lots of disagrees, but it's a great write-up!
    Get good

It’s seriously not hard to build his analysis, just hit the opponents block until you get 100
Or hit them much less and killl them. Lmao

I perosnally think sentinel has the best animations as far as movement and baiting is concerned

It’s a bit stiff, but he is a robot so fair enough

But I don't understand why Sentinel's SP3 makes opponent become sentinel and then explore. I don't quite get it.

I feel the same way as OP. I have both unawakened as six stars (lucky me) and enjoy my sentinel more.

I feel in any non cosmic fight his charges are easy to build up. Especially when in V3 or fighting a mutant.

    Or both 😳

Tbh, the aa reduction of warlock is much better which is needed in many fights.

That’s the thing. They both have their uses. I’m just saying that overall I prefer sentinel

I personally prefer using Hulkbuster over both of them. If only I could get the 5* or 6* version now...

If I could get a 5/6* Warlock, I could finally beat 6.2 (6.2 sinister is my only weak spot)
I have 5* Warlock though at rank 4.
