I'd argue anyone that has over like 8-10 6* champions should be going for this round of featured, it's really that good.
Champs I'd consider top tier rank 3 options - Prof X, Apoc, CGR, Ghost, Longshot, Dragon man
Solid rank 3 options especially for thronebreaker - Falcon, Gambit, Mr.Fantastic, Elsa, Spider-gwen, Wasp, Cull, Killmonger
Fringe rank 3 candidates, great rank 2 champs - Punisher 2099, Red Goblin, IHulk
That's 18/25 champs I'd consider taking up to rank three or just over 70% of the pool. That's so insanely better than the basic in terms of the ratio of good to bad champions.
On top of all that this featured is good for you in particular because you already have red goblin and Falcon both of whom benefit greatly from their sig ability. You also have elsa ranked up and her sig ability is useful as well
Even if you had 0 6* champions I would still say go for the featured. The math is clear, there are far far better odds at getting a champion you will actually use from the featured than there are from the basic.
Open up a spreadsheet or even grab a piece of paper and write out all the characters you can get from each that you'd actually use. Divide by the number of champs in each pool. Multiply the featured by 0.666666 to account for the difference in cost. I guarentee the Featured will give you better odds unless the only 6* characters you currently have are CGR, Apoc and Ghost (although at that point you'd be better forgetting the game and buying as many lottery tickets as you can).
The featured one is not worth it (speaking from own experience lol)
What do you mean from experience? You opened up a featured crystal and got a bad champion so that means that they're not worth it? Do the math, look at the percent of champions you'd like from both featured and basic and I'm pretty certain featured would be higher.

Featured is better , but if you don’t really have the rank up resources you are better off going for the featured 5* where they can be ranked and get their awakened ability.

sorry for replying so late but I opened 7 of them and all of them were not-such-great pulls. the only good pull I got out of those 7 was duping Elsa, but I wish I spent the rest of the shards on the basic ones. right after that I opened a basic one and got Thing, so go figure lol
Pulled 4 of these and was targeting Apocx and Ghost. Got Man-Thing, Man-Thing, Longshot, and Dragon Man.
Pulled Basics after that. Got Ultron, Sorcerer Supreme, and Hulkbuster.
Pulled 2 Featureds. Ronan and Green Goblin.
On my next haul after exploring 6.1 and completing V5 and 7.1, I might go for 1 Featured and 2 Basics.
The Featureds are too expensive but the pool is relatively better. Worth it? Hmmm... if you're ready to gamble then yes. It really depends on how fast you can collect shards.
I have only G2099 as best champ in my 6 star roster . Then I gave a thougt to myself. I have 11 6 stars out of which 1 is used by me. Paying 5k extra shards is gamble in long run. So I decided to open basic got omega. so according to me you should also build up like 25+ 6 star roster before going to feature Even as 5 star I am opening basics because I really don't have most of the best meta champs. Building up roster seems more better choice for long run.

I opened a 6* Basic like 5 days ago and got 6* Ghost
Mind you that she is in the featured but I managed to get her without spending an extra 5k 6* shards

Dragon man isn’t top tier
