Exactly what Tier corresponds with what map version? Hard, Challenger, and Expert Maps = Tier?

    They can appear in any tier, depends on the team you face

    What are you talking about? This is about AW, the defenders you face are whatever your opponent has and places. Theoretically you could face 5* rank 3 in the easiest tier if the alliance you were facing had them.
