Odin - Discussion

Looks like the tendency of kabbam to spoil the most marquee of marvel characters and reduce them to mediocre tier champs in game has not gone away even in 2021, Odin, who happens to be the strongest of all champs in the present roster till now.. has a base attack rating lower than Groot. Even his odinsleep mechanism forces u to skip some fights and that extra bonus fury of 2588 per stack upto 2 seems pretty underwhelming as well.. WHY KABBAM WHY?.. WHY DO U DO THIS?.. THEN... SILVER SURFER. NOW ODIN..

Silver Surfer is not a dud and to be honest Odin is not looking too bad
Lots of buffs, evade and auto block counter, huge burst of sp 2, and can provide bonuses to other teammates. Hela is also looking insane with the Odin synergy.

Damage caps have been put on his sp2 which is probably his main damage dealing sp.. he has to skip a fight after killing two champs...
The damage cap is for his burst damage, not basic hits which, with Mangog, can gain +150% of Odin Base Attack Rating. Also his Odinforce Fury Buffs are about 100% Attack Rating each and he can gain 2. Starting a fight with 200% Attack Rating is good. As for his Odin sleep mechanic, it’s a little strange and has disadvantages but it’s ok and helps his teammates when he’s not fighting and they’re winning

What? 2588 isnt game changing, but that still seems pretty high. Stfu

Read the champ attributes and ability before opening Ur mouth...
Play the champion before you open your mouth.
His alternating fight cycles means that in a quest, you have to be willing to use someone else in some of the fights. It has its disadvantages but is not bad.
I needed to reread his Sp 2 abilities before I fully realized the full damage potential of Odin. His Fury Buffs will provide him decent damage on basic hits but getting unique buffs is the most important part of his kit as that will increase the burst damage.
His cap that has been put there, is needed otherwise the damage he could output would be a little too crazy. Even with it there, the damage is still fairly good, with Odin being to put out large bursts gaining more damage for how much health the opponet has and for each Unique Buff he has active. Depending on how many unique buffs and the opponents healthpool, Odin will do 50k-70k bursts in the right matchups and do it often with his energize buffs helping his power gain.
You seem to pick the wrong champs to go after. Squirrel-Girl and Silver Surfer are not so bad and Odin is looking pretty good as well. I would reccomend looking at his abilties again.

You keep thinking that the in game characters have to equal their comic book counter parts. This isn't the case for any character in this game. Dr Doom, while a excellent champion in game, is still no where near the potential of what he is in the comics.

Silver Surfer has way more abilities in the comics. He can literally create black holes or pocket dimensions. How would you like that mechanic be in the game. That's a one hit KO special.

Point is, the characters in this game, are not direct representatives of comics or the MCU. Phoenix would destroy every single person in this game easily using the Phoenix Force.

There has to be some sort of balance. Not every champ will be OP God tier or as powerful as YOU want them to be. The main thing we have to do is stop judging new champs by the words that describe them. We've been wrong more often than right when it comes to this whole thing. Wait until gameplay comes out. Even Silver Surfer who gets a ton of hate has more use than most people give him credit for.

The point of my posting in forums is that.. Odin fills up a big square among asguardians in mcoc mapping.. we have had apoc who stood to everyone's expectations with time being.. do u think u will use Odin instead of corvus glaive or cgr if u wanted a heavy damage dealer among cosmics?.. u are explaining in terms that Odin is not a dud.. it's very right as well.. but if u bring a character called Odin into a game and he doesn't stand superior to all characters in the given class.. then it would be dud as well... Odin could very well have made a final boss in act 7.. his might is above that of collector and grandmaster...😂.. he fought toe to toe with Galactus ... His synergies are not even noteworthy to boost cosmic champs.. he will remain as a mid tier cosmic champ slumbering in the shadow of cgr and corvus..

Are you telling me that you only compare a champ’s description to the comics? And that Odin never needs an Odin-sleep in the comics? Because if so, it’s you that’s going crazy. Plus nobody has played this champion yet, and it’s so difficult to tell on paper how strong a champion will be.

If you thought that Corvus would be OP when his info came out then maybe you’re a better guesser than the community and have some insight to the future, but we’ve learned to wait and play a champion before calling them bad.

It is not that difficult to assume that u have to skip 1 out of every 3 fights to play him properly man... So who would u choose?.. a cgr?.. or Odin?
You’re missing the point if you want me to make a decision without playing Odin. Point is, nobody knows yet because we haven’t played Odin. It could be well worth skipping even 2 out of 3 fights. You bring a full team to quest or war, so i’m not concerned about skipping a fight here or there

So in your opinion, Apocalypse is terrible then as well right? Once you have 4 charges, all he is, is a synergy champion. Oh want that health back as part of his kit? Gotta sit him out a few fights. But hey, lets not talk about Apoc right? It's ok because it's Apoc.

No mobile game representing comics should give one shot power to any character.. just apply a bit common sense.. what about the crit that corvus has at present.. the same should have been given to silver surfer?.. what about the awesome control and utility that doom has at present should have been given to dormamu?... What about the damage output potential that capiw has at present should have been given to sentry?.. will this make those characters one shot everything in sight?... I am talking about Devs giving domino a crazy god tier status but neglecting phoenix.. this does not mean I want silver surfer to create black hole and mcoc forever..😂😂😂😂😂😂
"Critical Hits" don't exist in the comics.... what's your point? That's an ability made strictly for the game. Corvus was one of the most overlooked champions in the game until some people figured out how good he was, iirc, a couple months later.

Phoenix was created in 2016 when the game was still very basic. Domino was created in 2018 when the game was more advanced with new acts and variants etc.. Phoenix will get an update, but her kit matched the games needs in 2016.

Dude you are making a joke of yourself now. There exists something called Game-balance which needs to followed. Kabam have said in the past that a champions power in the comics will not decide their power in the game.
