For those who have used suicide masteries....

So I got suicides over a year and a half ago, and I really enjoy the fun interactions they have with some champs (Ghost, Omega, Corvus, Magik, etc). The recoil is annoying to deal with and I feel like I am always stressed and trying to finish the fight as fast as possible, with as few special 1 and 2s as possible. I enjoy the big yellow numbers and have most suicide-friendly champions, but I am considering taking them off because I think it would be less stressfull and I also want to enjoy other champs that spam special attacks or are not semi-immune to debuffs. I don't have the time and units to just switch back and forth all the time, for the record.

Thoughts?

I tried going back to a suicide-free mastery setup and just got bored (attack was too low, and I needed the constant threat of dying without even being hit to keep me awake)

I think after act 3 way back when I had enough units from grinding arena to unlock everything and never turned back. I've tried going back to non suicides as my main champs are not good with suicides (doom, torch, cap IW, ect) for variants and such, but the damage reduction is insane. I realize it's not the most efficient way to play these champs and those like torch are pretty much anti suicides, but it's painful for me to try and do anything without them.

I'm a new cav player and can get through most stuff fine, but I realize that using champs like the above with suicides are probably holding me back a little bit. Up until the arena update it was well worth it for the grind for units....But as of right now, not so sure anymore.

Cap IW is good with suicides and IMO Human Torch isn't that bad with them since you can just wait for the bleed to expire but I don't have him past a 3*

Only run suicides during the off-season mostly for Corvus and Claire (got a lot of other suicide friendly champs either way), but I jump at the opportunity to turn them on during the season, as I love using my prof X a lot, but he loses an immense amount of effectiveness with them on. It's unfortunate that his poison resistance synergy doesn't apply to himself.

@MrInsanity for sure! I think like you said, you can bend most champs to be good with suicides by just adjusting your playstyle. I mainly see the effect it has in the variants that I am trying to complete now with Doom and I just feel bad when I do the SP2 mlm mlllm sp1 combo with torch along with the bleed earlier in the fight (still super fun to play). I'm just waiting for the day I can get a 5 star corvus, omega, or someone godly with suicides to really show the power.

As for coagulate maxed, its helped bring down the negatives of the bleed a ton. I really like it as now I can go through an entire lane with a character and take a fraction of the damage I would have from the bleed (again, most my champs aren't bleed immune...lol). Going from 11% life lost per match to 4-5% ish percent is amazing. I'd definitely recommend it.

Helpful conversation. I’ve recently unlocked suicide masteries and they’re such a game changer. I’d probably have progressed faster had I used them sooner.

Too busy so I prefer it on to speed up daily AQ/AW and Arena. When I have enough time, I’d have it turned off so I can use some of my favorite champs. Mastery system sucks, I know.

Am I the one person who doesn't like them? You'd think with my all-out aggressive playstyle, use of Mole Man, Corvus, and Darkhawk on a daily basis, and love of big yellow numbers, I'd love it, but I just don't. Maybe it's because I also use Doom, Apoc, Hyperion, CGR, and others a lot, but I just don't like seeing my health tick down at all. Plus I'm often assigned the tougher paths in war where you simply can't suicide your way through, and I can't place defense with suicides. Thus...

Ironically, after voting, i switched them off until further notice and took Spidergwen to r3.

I ran suicides for about a year. Recoil sucked the fun out of the game.

The loss of freedom wasn’t worth the damage boost for me.

Definitely get them and try them. They change the game up.

I’m hoping the mastery rework will unlink recoil from the others.

@Masterpuff sick, I would definitely take spider Gwen to rank 3. She’s got some great utility and just smooth animations.

I’m sure everyone has to turn suicides off at some specific point, one always comes along eventually but for the most part, if your roster is well developed you can almost always find a team that works for the path and keep suicides on. If you are a big AW player though then you probably want them off. Aside from that if you run coagulate 3/3 you can usually get always with any team comp that isn’t too special spamming heavy.
