Is unawakened 6* Guardian or Symbiote Supreme worth taking to rank 2? 25 votes

    Gaurdian is so good so I’d choose him. What makes him even beter is high sig level. He knots becomes immune to everything, but it’s easier to get a 5* yo sig 200 than a 6* to 200

    Guardian needs his sig (ideally maxxed) to shine. Go with SymSupreme, he doesn't need duoe and is very useful on any matchup where there's lotsa buffs, specially if the opponent can bleed.

    other than lack of signature ability benefit though, will a 6* rank 2 guardian hit harder than a maxed out 5* awakened guardian?

    Yes, an R2 6* will ALWAYS have a bit more base damage and health than a R5 5* irrespective of it being duped or not or maxxed sig or not. The only time when a maxxed sig R5 can outdamage an unduped R2 is when the sig directly affects the damage potential of the champ, for example this is the case of Moleman, Omega Red, among others.

    In the case of Guardian his sig does not affect his damage at all, so the R2 will outdamage the R5 for sure. Mind you though, the R5 will have a slightly a 15% higher combat power rate, because the way the game works is that per each rank all champs gets +5% power rate. Thus, the R5 will be able to reach its special attacks quicker than an R2, but I doubt this will affect damage output to the point of tilting it towards the R2. This effect would probably be more visible in champs that NEED to reach sp3 quickly, for example Doom.
