It sucks that if you have great rng you're happy with the side quest, but if you get bad RNG the side quests sucks. I wish there was more consistency. For example my friend has over 100 TO Class catalyst crystals. And how many TO class catalyst crystals did he get from the legendary side quest? 5 more. What a waste of time and entries.
The rewards are Good. RNG sucks. If the choice was in our hands then I'd say they are amazing. Some people only getting t4cc as a reward when they deserve 1000 6* shards. Sucks for them and many. So I am voting a NO
I have been pleasantly surprised by the side quests rewards. On the highest difficulty there was maybe one time I landed on a path where I didn’t really want the reward, but completed it anyways for the missions. The bulk of the time I’ve landed on the 5 star shards and I’ve been able to save tremendously for the next featured 5-star crystal in 60 days.
Epic has been awesome as well. I’ve gotten over 21 t1 alpha and that’s just from this week.
This all with not having to expend any energy. It’s all free energy for rewards I didn’t expect and paths that are pretty easy difficulty wise.
And this is all while saving my key. I’ll just wait to use my keys and then at the end get guaranteed rewards.
I really can’t complain about this side quest. Especially compared to others that were rng based.

The master rewards sucked and who keeps t2 class catalyst and t3 basic in master instead of t4 cc and t4 basic

Yes on my third account i need t4 cc and t4 basic but the master is giving t2 cc and t3 basic
Um I don't think master should give those rewards, Legendary is presumably for Cav+ and Epic is for Uncollected+ so that means Master is for people in Act 4/Early Act 5.
Then explain why master eq gives t4 cc fragments crystal and t4 basic
