negative units

Man_P15Man_P15 Member Posts: 4
Hi, I have a problem to which I always get a standard e-mail from Kabam in response.

During the July 4th offers, I bought the offer twice for € 32.95. But I changed the payment method between transactions because I realized too late that I had done it through the mobile operator.
One of the payments was then refunded to me, but I received the package. I have not requested a refund.
Now I have negative units of almost 30,000 - that corresponds to a value of over 300 €!

I have been trying to clarify the problem for several weeks, I have already opened 10 tickets for which I always get a standard translation.
I would have no problem paying € 32.95, but definitely not over € 300!
Then after more than 6 years I prefer to stop playing before I do that! I hope I can at least get the help that the support doesn't give me.

Thank you and have a nice day, Manu_P15

That's not how the negative balances work. You can't convert them directly to what it would take to zero them out in Odin's (or whatever unit pack).

If you go into the unit store, they will have a unit pack you buy that is priced to zero out your reverse charge, the units they credit with you won't matter (it usually has some magic number amount like 99,999 units), it will take you back to your previous unit balance plus whatever you've earnt while in a negative balance.

The intention is simply to get back what you reverse charged, not anything more.

As Corkscrew said. There is a special deal for people that have negative units. It is not like you need to spend 300 euros to become positive. The negative unit bundles are way better value for money sort of speak.

Wasn’t negative units always for people who somehow cheated? I remember, for example, the last gifting event.

    However, best of luck !

So you are sure that you had not requested a refund or anything? Negative units is what happens when people ask for refunds. If so, I suggest just bombarding Kabam support with tickets and explain to them as clearly as possible. It's their job to sort these issues out. People here won't be able to help apart from providing advice.

Assuming you are telling truth that u didn't asked for refund and it came automatically , I think u may have been refunded for items worth of 330euros and maybe u have forgotten about it or something. Its not possible that u have just got a refund of 33 euros and they are asking for negative units worth of 330 euros.

I’m telling the truth. I have refunded nothing and to no time.

Allright then keep sending in support tickets. But keep trying to remember if you haven't refunded anything. Some of us forget stuff sometimes.

By your own account you received the package for which a transaction was refunded by the payment processor.

Whether or not you requested the refund from Kabam... or did a charge back on your credit card - in their eyes it is the same. You received something from them that they didn't receive money for, which will put your account in the negative. Kabam cannot tell who instigated the reversal. The negative balance system exists to combat people trying to scam chargeback systems. If you decide never again to clear out the balance, Kabam have lost that revenue. It might not be a physical product... but it's still lost.

Obviously there is a marked difference between 32.95 and 109.99, so you should be asking for a breakdown of the charge backs that put your account in the negative.

I also note that 109.99 is nowhere near the 300 euros you're claiming they're asking for... yes, it might be cost of 9,999 units, but clearly if you're capable of making a mistake there, you're capable of making a mistake somewhere else.
