Grandmaster fight bugged or am I missing something?

This is my first time fighting him and I noticed that even when I am trying to dex his sp1 I am not able to but dex symbol is appearing tho. Can anyone help me out?

    Would need some kind of proof to be able to help. Not calling you a liar, but it’s easy for me to just say you’re mistiming the dex. If you truly believe it’s not that then we need to see that you’re not mistiming the dex

    I don't know for sure, but it might be that Parry Dex bug going around.

    Sorry that was not able to provide some proof but it got fixed after I quit and restarted the game
