SHOCK Vanquish bonus not paying out on most shock dealing champs.

In the Event Quest in both stages of chapters 2 and 3, using Hood (Heavy/S1), Electro (S1/S2), Black Widow (S3), Nebula (Heavy and all 3 Specials) and Storm (S1/S2). I’ve deployed each of the listed moves as the final “Vanquishing” blow over the course of 50+ fights and have not received the 4000 bonus a single time. Beyond frustrating to participate so heavily in events and be robbed of all the valor and rewards. 200,000 or more points missing.

    Are you killing them with the attack, ie Hood's special 1, or are you letting the residual shock damage over time kill? It's got to be the latter I believe.

    Only a negligible fraction of shock KOs come through damage over time though. That would be like rewarding 4000 points for successfully clapping with one hand....I appreciate the response but I hope that’s not the case.

    That would be it then. Just pulled up the solo event and it says "Defeat your opponent with SHOCK (their capitalization, not mine) for bonus points!" Looks like they need to die from the shock, not the attack.

    That said - it's a completely ridiculous system and to ask people to try and put up full milestones from things like that, or incinerate a few days ago, is just asinine.

    Yeah to be perfectly honest these Vanquishing Blow events are a little too grindy. Like it takes the fun out of the game when you need to get points for an event by basically not defeating your opponent for another 20 seconds so you can try to get a Shock on them while they are low health.

    I'm doing the event right now too, managing it with a Nebula, but it takes FOREVER.

    Grinding doesn't always equal fun. :/ Grind = / = fun.

    The attack and the shock are mutually exclusive??? Electro and Storm do nothing but shock, I mean....right?? How could that not register?? Electro’s first special is straight up electric shock. And his 2nd. No physical touch. How is that not KO BY SHOCK??

    They truly need to expand on how that is accomplished then. Not cool to have such profound grey area and not provide clarity from the beginning. Massive waste of time. Not cool

    Thanks for writing in.

    We apologize for any confusion this may have caused.

    Please note that using an Attack to Apply Shock and Finishing with the Shock effect are two different things.

    Shock as an effect channels direct damage, which would then take out the opponent. This would have to be the last damage the opponent took.

    Finishing an opponent who is suffering from Shock with another attack, or damage output like Bleed for example will not count towards the points as they were finished with another technique / status.

    Not really sure what @Markusdude is saying. Seems very vague. But I can say this. You can shock someone from a distance and kill them with Electros S1 and not get 4K points from it.

    Shoddy work as usual.

    you need to see the shock words on the screen and then the timer running and that damage needs to finish them off. that's how you get the points. it's extremely hard to time it right imo.

    You're using the generic version of the word shock. They are using it as a term for a specific debuff. Electro does 0 shock dmg. I believe his s1 and s2 do energy dmg, and his strikeback counts as physical dmg. He doesn't apply a shock debuff, so there's no way to get points with him. Thor also uses lightning but doesn't do shock dmg. Zapping with any kind of electricity does not equal Shock as far as this event is concerned.
