I had the same problem. It turned out that it downloaded a bit, then basically did that whole "download the rest as you boot up the game" bit in the background before finally finishing everything up, which meant that it looked "stuck" and took ages. But it eventually finished and I could play the updated game.

Came here cause I was having this problem. Seems ridiculous to have it get to 100% when it's not really 100%. Go figure. Guess I'll wait longer

Same here. I've restarted the download numerous times and the device as well, it still won't complete the update.

Just wait longer. Ignore the 100% wait long enough (and I really mean give it a good 5mins after 100%) and it'll finish up

Just got a notification for something else downloading, says it will be another hour. Woo!

Uninstall it and do a fresh install.

It's downloading 1.4gb in background and only 70 mb in Play Store.
