So I bought the one Spider-Man 2099 crystal from the sigal store today and pulled a six star nexus (yes!).

I was torn between duping Stryfe (who I just pulled a few days ago) and picking up a new Sentry. The third choice was inconsequential. I don’t really know how much Stryfe’s awakened ability matters but I like platinum stars…

I chose Stryfe but now I’m convinced that Sentry will get a buff in the next month or two and I made a huge mistake.

Are we at the point where we need to be speculating and maybe investing in bad characters in the hope they’ll be amazing down the road?

Should I really have chosen Sentry?

    In my opinion, it's almost always better to chose a new champ in a nexus versus awakening/adding sigs unless the champ is someone like Aegon, Fury, or Omega. I would have chosen Sentry, but that's influenced by the fact that since I have Abyss and LoL explored, there's nothing in game that I would need Stryfe for.

    Haven’t even done abyss but i agree. Stryfe doesn’t need his sig at all. New champ is always good, especially if they are a prime buff candidate

    Stryfe is a great champ and a good choice
    Also I got someone who I wanted for a very long time from buying the cav one from the black iso market for 300 units

    A bird in hand is worth two in a bush. Stryfe benefits from awakening. I think you made the right choice. There is no guarantee that sentry will be buffed and if he does get a buff, no assurance that it will be good.
    The only scenario you should have picked sentry is if you are an avid arena grinder to increase the number of six stars.

    Yeah, I think this is where I am on it. I’m not an arena grinder outside of T4b and T1alpha so I don’t need more mediocre champs. A buff in and of itself is no guarantee that it’ll be worthwhile. For every Moleman there is an Ebony Maw…

    You will pull plenty of bad characters from the basic, don't worry about it.
