Is Haunted supposed to amplify reflected damage based on Ghost's attack value?

While fighting Ghost, an awakened Domino will take thousands of damage from reflected critical failures. Since that damage is only based on Domino's base attack, it must be getting amplified by Ghost's own attack values and Fury buffs. Was this an intentional mechanic? It really made the #mercenary challenge into a unit-fest.
