A frustrated sigh of a veteran player

I have been playing this game since May 2015, over 6 years now. I have seen the game go through a lot, I spent a year in Gold alliance and then retired to a very laid back style of playing. In this post I would like to share a slight complaint about the state of the game this month. The purpose of this thread is to merely vent a bit, I don't hope for a change nor do I want to attack Kabam or their employees. It's just a public vent of my thoughts.
When I got to this game back in 2015, the main selling point for me was, that mcoc is SKILL BASED. Pardon the Caps Lock, but it really is super important for me. Before mcoc I played Injustice:GAU, which is a game similar to mcoc, you just can't dash back and have a very limited options in terms of skills. And getting better at this game, polishing my skills and learning has been keeping me at this game for so long through its ups and downs.
However, I feel like this has changed recently. The game has become a pure randomness for me. Parry works half the time, the game crashes in random moments mid fight, champions don't react to my inputs and even throw attacks on their own. Even the blocking seems to be failing. That combined with insane lagging turns this into a nightmare.
Now I am fully aware that this is just a side effect of the new engine and that the devs are working on a fix, which I appreciate. I have to say here, that the new engine greatly improved srability of the game during graphically demanding animations. That is awesome change for me subjectively, because it has enabled me to play my Prof X without fear of the game crashing.
And then there is this two months long event. We have already discussed the 6* objective chain a lot and I am very satisgied with the dev team's communication. However the timing is very unfortunate. I know that this is by no means an intention from Kabam and that they are suffering from these issues as well, but having to win a 100 fights in a specific way ideally over one week, in order to not lose 2(!) months of rewards is a very bad timed thing, because of the issues I mentioned above.
Now I am a f2p player and I am fully aware that my opinion doesn't matter. I don't matter, because technically speaking I am a leech on this game. I play for free on servers that Kabam pays for, a game Kabam paid devs to make and the game is kept alive by paid people. And I get this all for free. That's why I realise that I have 0 right to critisize or complain. So please take this as a mere sigh, a vent of thoughts from a long time player.
It fenuinely makes me sad what hardship this game has encountered. There is so much work put into it, and this just drains my will to play. I have seen this game rise, so this (hopefully temporary) decline makes me sad.
Thank you for reading, please tollerate my grammar mistakes and typos, I trued my best but I can't avoid it all. Feel free to hit that disagree button, I am sure 99% of you will do so. Just don't forget that you can also express your disagreement in the discussion below.

But you know those bugs will be fixed right? And it’ll go back to how it was before, skill based?
I agree with your overall point, bugs are bad and this objective event isn’t fun. But I just don’t see the link between pre-bug = skill, post bug = randomness
On average, you have to do the objectives in one week
What if someone completed UC before the objective landed?
I completed those objectives, but it doesn’t mean it is not boring and I agreed with OP’s points. I finished Cav/UC/Master / Shangchi CQC/Upupdownddown before those objectives and I can only count on arena. It’s soooooo boring especially for 3* objectives. I guess no player would love to re-enter explored EQ just for completing objectives.
Don’t let the perfect be the enemy of the good
I am aware that the bugs will be fixed. And usually I would have np with playing less, but this time the constellation is unfortunate, as I would lose 2 months worth of rewards, instead if the usual one.
Lemme repeat tho, I dont blame anyone for this situation. It is merely a bad coincidence, I just needed to vent my frustration.
I think the issue is a lot of people are content lumping these under parry and dexterity issues instead of listing them as new complaints, so they're not being adequately looked into. I don't have too many people complaining about general block or input issues. Game crashes have been an issue for months, that ships sailed at this point.
You have value, and so do I:
This is a competitive game. You and I provide competition for the 'paying customers' whom I am well aware keep the game alive.
Alliance Wars are the main place this is evident; which would be basically just another event quest if you weren't competing against another alliance making sneaky (or stupid) placements on good (or bad) nodes. Competing against other human beings makes the game vastly more fun.
Also: you should complain, because your opinions do matter, because Kabam want a successful game. They want to develop, innovate and sustain. Feedback is crucial to games like this being sustained. And feedback is of value from people who play the game; not just those who 'pay'. In fact the feedback from F2P/low-spending/moderate-spending/high-spending players will be qualitatively different, and all of value. Maybe not of equal value; but of value, nonetheless.
Finally, you can 'give back' to the game by supporting it here and being a part of the community that helps newer players, and helps with feedback and suggestions.
That's what I try to do. Try to be constructive, helpful or funny; and you've not only got a right to complain, in fact it's an important way of supporting the game.
As long as it's done in a way that Kabam can make use of...
