When can we expect a buff to potions?

This is *NOT* a suggestion, repeat, this is NOT a suggestion, if you get my drift, this is a general discussion on the potion system.

It was made for 4 stars, why are we still using it to heal 6* champs with 50-60k health pools? The game moved on a long time ago but this hasn't.

When can we expect a change?

This is a major issue with the game. It's why the Corvus timeout method is so ubiquitous. As you mentioned, the potion system was designed for 4-stars, and it hasn't kept up with the health pools of 6-stars. It's been suggested repeatedly over the years, but I strongly think it's time for AQ and AW potions to heal a percentage of health rather than a fixed amount. A level 5 alliance war potion, which heals 14k HP, costs 100 units. It takes three of these to fully heal a champ like Apocalypse. That means it costs 300 units, or approximately $10, to fully heal Apocalypse one time. This seems excessive.

It is long overdue and it's something that is going to have to happen sooner rather than later especially if the goal is to continue to push all players into becoming uncollected at minimum. There's no doubt that evolving the game is going to be painful for all involved but much like what we're asking for, a better salve can do wonders.
