One New Champion this month?

Any reason why there is just one new champion this month? Do Kabam usually do this in December? Did I miss something?

    Yeah this happens in December. Spam was the only one to come out last December, and I forget who the year before. I was especially fine with it last year, as I saw the epoch shards as a replacement for a second champ, instead giving us more of a chance to acquire a higher rarity of another champ from that year. Super disappointed to see them gone
