My take on the 6* AG situation

Idk, I honestly don’t care THAT much about the AG because I never have enough stones to sig up my champs anyway. If it were a generic, sure. But there aren’t many champs I’m waiting to take to sig 1, anyway.

Am I alone in this? Maybe it’s just that as someone who doesn’t spend as much as others on the game, I don’t have the resources to fully maximize the AG to its potential anyway.

    I'm desperately trying to find a way to get another mystic, skill or cosmic gem so I can trade in 5 generics for a CHANCE at a 6* skill AG. I've got a Nick Fury that I would love to be sig 1 and could have 2 chances at one if I could get one of those 3 classes.

    I could use a skill, mutant or cosmic. Hell even a science. But because I was “playing the game properly” and not hoarding all my 5* gems I don’t get the opportunity to get it. Is that my fault? Sure. But it very much promotes the idea of not using ANYTHING in case something randomly becomes available at any given time.

    Playing properly infers that those of us who had AGs on hand are playing incorrectly and that is just not the case. This strategy also changes based on progression and roster depth. I am not using a gem on an unworthy champ.

    I got lucky and pulled a skill for NIck Fury and awakened him and took him to r3 :)

    Idk, it’s definitely progression based. I had enough gems to trade in and I’ve never actively hoarded gems, I just haven’t needed to use them. I’ve got most of the champs I need already awakened and ranked up and I don’t see the point in awakening a R2/3 5* that I’m probably not going to rank for the sake of it.

    Yeah I get that completely, and I think that discussion ran its course. But I’m sitting here looking at my champs, and I realized that the bigger problem for my roster is a lack of sig stones still, not AGs. If I got a skill gem, I’d save it for fury if I ever pull him, mystic maybe I’d give it to Diablo or save it. Science? Save or give to void and hope I can start pulling more sig stones. Cosmic? I don’t even know, KG or save? Mutant? OR but lol at the sig stones.

    So for my account, the most upsetting thing in the store might be the sig stone trade in prices. And I’d the store is only for those who have items otherwise collecting dust and the point is to gouge prices, then moving forward I will view this as less of an event than it is hyped up to be.
    See I have the opposite problem for sig stones. I am capped on Generics, and I have a bunch of all classes except mutant and mystic because I poured them into Bishop and Diablo once I duped them.

    I’ve had pretty poor luck on being able to dupe champs, and even less luck when it comes to champs that actually need the sigs.

    I’m not blaming Kabam for the way they did the 6* awakening gem, hell I’m not even remotely salty that I can’t get it. But it has very much changed my perspective on what is considered a “valuable” item that I should save and what I can just use freely from now on.

    t this was a problem for many, especially on the RNG aspect of trying to pull 3 of a class. I have 2 classes of accumulated awakening gems 4 science with no meaningful use, all my used and top champs were awakened and SEVEN science gems with literally no one i can use it on, all my science champs were awakened. On top of that i had a generics waiting for the right new champ. Used one on kitty and took her to s200 r5. So for my account, I wasn’t hoarding but also wasn’t awakening just any champ. I have over 130 6* and my main focus is 6*.. kitty was an exception. So i understand kabamms response to the closed thread, its not perfect but i get it. If the RNG was removed for getting a 6* and rerolling a 6* i think ALOT more complaints would never have surfaced.

    That said, i think everyone will begin hoarding for real in the event a trade in like this happens again.

    In my opinion, what should have been done, is there should have been some communication done on this way earlier in the year to hold onto AG or something to let the community know this may be a possibility down the road. I spent mine on 5* champ figuring keep 1 of each class and then a generic just to be safe. It never occurred to me that there way ever be a shop like this that included AG. So basically in my opinion its more of just a communication thing. Now that i know, im not gonna use another 5* ag again most likely. Gonna save them all
