Drive to a Million Facebook Likes!

Greetings Summoners!

The Official Marvel Contest of Champions Facebook Page has recently surpassed 750,000 Likes on Facebook! We’re celebrating by sending you all a few helpful items, and a Premium Hero Crystal.

While 750,000 Likes is pretty great, the Grandmaster wants to reach even further! Join us in our Drive to 1 Million Likes by December 4th, and unlock some great celebration events! What do we have in mind? Take a look!

Choose which Champions you’d like included in a special summoners choice crystal!

We’ll be running some special polls very soon, in which we’ll ask all of you to choose the 2 Best Champions of each class! Then, we’ll add a 4-Star Version of the Top 12 (2 of each class) into a special crystal that will be available for only $1 USD!

Which Champions are eligible? Any champion that is included in a regular crystal that was released up until Morningstar. This means that the polls will not include Champions like Vision (Classic), Deadpool, Ultron (Classic), Thanos, Kang, Immortal Ironfist, Unstoppable Colossus, Punisher, Thor (Ragnarok), The Realm of Legends Champions, etc.

The Top 12 Champion Crystal polls will be open for voting from 11/20 (18:00:00 UTC) to 11/27 (18:00:00 UTC), visit the Marvel Contest of Champions Facebook page for more information later. (http://www.facebook.com/MarvelContestofChampions).

The Million Made Arena

We’ll run a special 7-Day, 1-Star and 2-Star Champion arena, with lots of 5-Star Shards in the Milestone Rewards! Can you make it to 1 million points and score yourself 10,000 5-Star Shards?

We’ll be upping the points awarded from 1-Star and 2-Star Champions for this special arena, and it will take approximately 500 fights to collect all of the Milestones. Not able to hit all of them? Don’t worry! The 10,000 Shards are spread among all of the Milestones. Collect what you can!

Collector Crystal!

We’ll be bringing back the Collector Crystal for purchase! This Crystal will contain 1 and 2-Star Champions that you can use to fill your collection, and use them in The Million Made arena.

This Crystal contains a whole slew of 2-Star Champions that are not normally available in the Daily Crystal or Premium Hero Crystals! Get them while you can!

Q&A:

Q: Is this event only for English speaking players? I didn’t receive a message about it in game, but my friend did.
A: Absolutely not! This event, and all of the cool stuff that can be unlocked is for everybody! Because our Facebook page and all of its contents are in English, we chose to only send the message out to players that play in English. This doesn’t mean that everybody isn’t welcome to take part.

Q: Does the Collector Crystal include every Champion as a 2-Star Version?
A: Not every Champion in the game has a 2-Star Version created for them, so there are a few that won’t be included.

Q: Does the Collector Crystal include the 1-Star Spider-Man that I sold?
A: Yes! This is your chance to reclaim any of the Champions that you collected at the beginning of your journey in the Battlerealm! (1-Star Spider-Man, Wolverine, or Ironman)

Nope just looked it IS 500 fights. But you have a whole week so it shouldn't be a BIG problem

I feel like they will do it anyways even if we don't make it.
One post that i read was Mike told someone that they have everything planned out for the rest of the year. So that makes me wonder if they planned this. and if they did then that means that to stay on schedule they would have to do it. Plus if we don't make it people will be very mad for tantalizing them

I doubt it. They do stuff that make people mad all the time, they don't care. Look at AWs and the recent "Mondays Big Announcement" for recent example.

So its the 21st right now and they want us to do this by dec. 4th. and it currently has 804,532 likes. thats about 200k likes in 13 days. CAN WE DO THAT!?!?!?

500 Fights! Not 500 series. Keep in mind that this is the average, so some may do it in less, while players with fewer 2-Stars or unranked 2-Stars might take a little longer.[/quote

500 fights is like about 167 rounds of three fight arena matches. That's about an hour or two a day, depending on platform.

They want a million likes for a game that does not have a million active users. And that's not accounting for people with multiple accounts. This was a campaign to create new facebook accounts.

500 fights even in a 3 day arena is pretty easy. I typically post 130+ streaks in two arenas at once every single arena round without fail. So doing a 166 streak for such an amazing reward isn't hard at all.

I'm maxing out all my 2* champs in preparation though. I doubt you'd want to try this with only a handful of maxed 2 stars!

........... guess I should max some out too.

Why "like" something and suggest to friends to do the same, when there are a ton of bugs, lag and silent nerfs going around? Kabam isn't about the player base, they are in it for themselves and the cash they can sneak out of people.
It is a "fun" game but nothing to go crazy for and spend actual money and time "liking" the FB page....No thanks

I hate to say this but it won't work. I know they said they don't want you to make an account but like everyone else said. It took you this long to get this many likes. How many kids play this game that probably don't have a Facebook account. My son doesn't have one because I don't want him too so that's one player that can't vote. Oh wait I can buy votes. Oh wait I'm not going to do that. How about Kabam use the money that I spent and but likes. I think it's a fair trade especially with all the bugs since 12.0.

It's now the 26th and it's currently has 817,037 likes dont want to sound pessimistic but don't think we'll make it

We aren't going to make it. There is no chance. This was pointed out at the outset but @Kabam Miike and others were very optimistic so I thought maybe they knew something I didn't. Turns out that not enough people are willing to like a product that isn't very good right now even with the proposed rewards. Maybe if the game team listened to the players and fixed war by bringing back defender kills instead of endless iterations that no one but GW wants we would have a chance.

The bolded sentence is pretty much one of the most golden questions to ask here, and I've been asking as well. What if we do not get 1m likes by Dec 4? What if we get 1m likes...a month later? Does that mean we get nothing even though we gave then what they wanted, just not by a irrelevant deadline?

Seriously, the celebration of a milestone should not be restricted by deadlines. At this point, Kabam, you are just rushing it. We are not going to get 1m Facebook likes by December 4, it was not a realistic goal no matter how optimistic you were about it. A more realistic goal is by removing the italised words. If you really wanted to show your gratitude for such an honourable milestone, you would not be rushing us to get it by a certain date.

...seems like one of our Eastern European friends could help us by generating a couple of hundred thousand Facebook likes to push us over the edge. Just saying.
