Gifting event - alliance milestones and rank rewards clarity, joining an alliance AFTER 06.12

Hello,

While messages were sent clear, that you need to join an ally before 6th of December in order to be able to contribute and collect? rewards in alliance gifting event.
I had to join another alliance after that date.
And now in game on Alliance tab, I have a counter on Gifting event, 4 days to go..
I traded 3 GGC yesterday with an alliance mate, and it didn't get me any points in alliance gifting.

Will it work after the timer expires?
I could maybe collect the alliance milestone rewards, if I can put point in?

Could anyone confirm if they had similar and they could / couldn't contribute the points once timer ran out?

    I also joined a couple days after Dec 6, because I thought it was explained as, you'll be eligible for alliance rewards 14 days after joining. I don't even have a timer on the alliance milestones. What does that mean?
