Too many lost inputs

The game is almost unplayable as you never know when a swipe or press is not detected. I go to throw a special, press the button and nothing happens or I run at the AI for no reason. Other times, I do a 5 hit combo and instead of a 4th light, the system throws a heavy on the 4th hit. Also, the AI still attacking me before I can get up and recover #sigh. What is going on with this game?
