Duel of the classes

For a while, every other class then science and mystic have received a lot of love and care from kabam.
So many buffed champions in the other classes and just new good characters overall.
But science and mystic, well uh.... are not doing so good. They all have been rusty for a past few years and by each passing month, they become less relevant in the meta.
What do you think, which one has slipped away more from the meta?

Utility wise Science is probably still pulling it's weight, but damage wise they lack much far behind others
Doom pulls so much weight in the Mystics that may be the class would fall even below Science if not fr him
Both these classes need better balance of utility & damage....utility wise they're decent but both lack in terms of raw damage

Diablo and Tigra have higher DPS than Doom, Magik has comparable power control, Sym Supreme has better buff control, BWCV has immunities. Doom is very good due to his amazing power control, but he certainly does not carry the entire clas.

I didn't say he is carrying the class....I said he pulls majority of the weight bcoz of the way he controls the fight
U had to go to all those other champs to say they're better than Doom in one particular element while Doom at least is able to have all those elements in his kit even if not as great as those others
Why would u occupy those spots on ur team when Doom can fulfil all those roles even if not as well as them, unless the fight is such that u have to use those champs only
There are other good champs in the class but noone is at his level as a one on one champion unless u include suicides in the equation
I don't think any other class has anyone like that unless u include Ghost Quake Kitty etc in terms of their ability to control the fight which according to me is one of the most important element to ensure not dying or having to use items
Also in terms of his tankiness only Diablo comes close in Mystic class or a ramped up Morningstar, which is another very crucial aspect to judge a champion, at least fr me

Mystic: claire, tigra, maw, diablo, mojo, sym supreme, sorc supreme, swigil, hood, dovah man, morning star, chavez, voodoo, sasquatch, ghost rider, and debatably mephisto, dormmamu, man thing, and mangog. Maybe even purgatory for support and decent offense. That’s without doom.

Also whoever said science is becoming less meta is dead wrong, and even wronger than that, with a side order of incorrect.
Torch melts literally any mystic, immune to incinerate and coldsnap, bypasses miss, has a debuff no champ is immune to that actually deals solid damage, and more if the opponent uses energy attacks or is mystic. That’s pretty damn meta. Let me skip quake. Miles just got buffed too. He can miss every attack as long as the opponent is unblockable, which is quite common now. CAIW still one of the most versatile champs in the game with high block prof, counters unstoppable, energy resistance, bleeds, and passive buffs, all without sig which makes him even more versatile. There’s more than it but you get the point.

Listed solid champs and up, but lots of them are solid for CAV EQ with the new tags coming in to play, variant content and some lanes in act 6-7. Just cause you don’t use em doesn’t make em worthless altogether.

Meta champions include those champions who are great in overall content like as you mentioned, act 6, act 7, eq and more. This game is a resource management game, if you dont rank up the best champions, you lose.

That’s reading the textbook and saying this is the right way to play. I read it, forgot it the next day, have fun and feel like a winner. Actually i take that last part back.

What IS meta now? alliance wars? Because all those champions are pretty amazing in every content available, except wars (and yet, many of them are viable)

So pls explain what is considered meta (apart from Zuckerberg and the nft verse)

Mystic did not have any good additions in 2021, neither in 2020. The class lacks damage and utility.

I mean that’s not really true, America Chavez is actually a very strong addition to the game, just hugely misunderstood. She’s got a lot of utility going for her and can get around a lot of annoying champ and node combinations. She also hits fairly hard, especially against opponents with buffs and is an extremely fun champ to play. On top of that she’s also a great defender and regularly gets 1-3 kills as a war boss in tier 3. She may not be the most popular but that doesn’t mean she’s not a good champ. Then you’ve got other like tigra, sorcerer and dragon man that got added in 2020, all of which are very solid champions themselves. Mystic is still a decent class, same for science, I don’t think either are bad personally. Many of my favourite champs lie within those two classes.

She looks like the most vanilla super hero I’ve ever seen. Being released with hercules wasn’t much help either. When i actually learned to play her, she seems solid, hits fairly hard, passive stuns, and good power gain. Nice addition to the game

As far as I know Meta means the most used, most popular & most wanted champs of the community who can also deal with most of the content
Like Fury, KP, Hercules, Apoc, ProfX, Rags, Torch, Doom, Claire etc.
The best of the best
It doesn't include only the good ones or ones that are enjoyable, but the ones that are most valuable for accounts

science-mystic is the best class combination in my roster. I don't have so good champs in any other class. Ignore juggs electro. But including full fantastic four. Doom and Claire. Gwen capiw. This is the best class combination for me

Only picking science since I run recoil masteries. I feel it falls behind at top tier after iabom for champs I have. Still good champs that are mastery friendly, just not at the top.

I do not agree with that. Doom, Claire, Diablo, Sym Supreme, Sorc Sup, Longshot, Dragonman, Magik, Morningstar, Scarlet Witch OG, Voodoo, Maw, SWS, The Hood, and Tigra -- that's "not good"? Sure, Iron Fist, TJF, and Juggs are pretty hard to use anywhere, but overall this is a strong class.
