Did you know that the last update to the glory store was announced in March 2021?

We’re now solidly into February. Some fun facts about the glory store and AQ rewards:

1) if you become uncollected today, you can buy t5b at the same rates as players who have been Thronebreaker for 16 months. The price is the same even though many uncollected players don’t even have the catalyst capacity to take 6-stars to rank 2.

2) you get the same amount of glory from peak milestones at 250,000,000 points as you do at 599,999,999.

3) if you’re someone who has to buy t4cc, you’re possibly better off in a worse alliance. If you rank 800-1200 instead of 500-800, you lose the following: 100 glory, 1000 t5b (value 150 glory), 5000 t2a (value 100 glory), and 2% t5cc. You gain 3 t4cc, which would cost you 1050 glory in the store.

4) It costs 7 t5b to take a new 6-star to rank 3, which is what moves the needle for most TB players. That’s about 47 purchases at the glory store to get enough t5b for an extra r3 champ.

With a higher cost to upgrade and a lower benefit (even point for point, not just percentage) it’s hard to feel good about paying ultra premium prices for marginal improvements.

I would hope in the next update there is t3a and t6b available. Anything else is just meh.

Kabam claimed it was impossible to update glory store at the same time the new aq changes were being designed so it would come after. No mention of how much time "after" meant we had to wait. I don't recall how long ago the aq change was but I would guess this is not on their radar with everything else that has been going on.

Yeah, game economy is an absolute wreck right now, along with literally everything else.

I'm pretty much about done; they have a whole list of things to fix and the issues get worse instead of better.

The T5BC purchase rate in the glory store is so bad, that I honestly regretted the 50 Euro offer I bought last week, that gave us 2 full T5CC. What’s the point? It will take me 2-3 months to take full advantage of them, in which time I will have formed another T5CC.

And I agree that the list of issues to be addressed only gets longer. And a serious issue like this one (an outdated Glory store, when AQ and glory is the primary source of rank up materials in the game should be a top priority issue) is not even on the radar to be addressed!

This is a great thread, and flags up a big imbalance in game economy.

Sadly my faith in Kabam addressing this and some other core issues in the short term is not high.

They need to make T4b, T4cc, and T1 alpha more available outside the glory store. I spend all my glory on these items and still need more. Hopefully they are able to address this.

I don’t play AQ at a high level, but I’m fairly sure rank rewards glory shoots up to compensate for the stagnation of milestone glory.

Rank 151: 1500 glory
Rank 800: 1300
Rank 1200: 120

But in the top 90, it climbs sharply. That divide is also broken because you now get a ridiculous 600 glory jump for hitting 600mil.

These inequities could be addressed simply by returning t4cc to more milestones and introducing 100 glory bumps at each milestone 300m and above. It would literally make a smooth curve instead of a cliff.
