Air Walker - base stats

You have to win 2 fights for him to get average stats.
That is also how you get permission to use his SP3.

Just wow.

Tragic; most have 4k+ base attack at r4.

    NEGATIVE armor!!

He starts every fight with a functional armor break.

Those numbers are a bit misleading. Air Walker starts a quest with one Power Cosmic buff, granting him 942 armor, 389 attack, and 3.5% of a bar of power per second. He can have up to three of these buffs, gaining one per defeated opponent (or two in one fight with the Peni Parker synergy). Additionally, every time he throws a special attack he applies a substantial 2200 armor rating armor break to the opponent for 11 seconds (for comparison, Medusa’s armor shatter reduces armor rating by around 2600). This armor break can stack and be refreshed.

Once ramped, Air Walker starts the fight with 3,762 attack rating, which is not insubstantial by any measure. After using his sp3, his attack rating is 6,487, plus he deals burst damage equal to (depending on dark tide stacks) up to 50% additional.

Air Walker is not a great champion for a lot of reasons, but damage potential really isn’t one of them. He’s bad because of painful his ramp up and lack of utility. He has no immunities, no means of countering miss, evade, autoblock, unstoppable, unblockable, or any other defensive ability, applies no damage over time effects, and general inability to deal with any remotely problematic defender.

He can clown on RoL once ramped up (gross, I don’t want to think about the ramp up fight against Winter Soldier), but that’s really about all he can handle.

If I were to try to fix this guy, I’d make his sp3 available from the start, but the potency of the Galactus buff would scale according to how many Power Cosmic charges you have in that fight. Additionally, he needs immunities or resistances. Incinerate’s an easy one, and maybe you could make a case for poison? Finally, some kind of means to counter at least one of the big defensive abilities. This can even be tied to his power of Galactus buff because he has passive power gain, so you can play defensively and still work up to your sp3.

I actually really like the character (especially his animations) and want him to be more feasible. Fingers crossed his tune up is on the list.
