State of the Game

We all know of issues and bugs inside the game and this is not another rant post or complaint about issues or compensation. I am genuinely worried about the game we all love. Does anyone else feel the game is on its last leg? I just want some reassurance that the game won’t die and that they are fixing things. As of now, it seems problems are being pushed over to an eventual collapse.

BTW this comment gets made pretty often, but if you understand the game's financials, you'd know the answer before asking.
You can look up the financial earnings of Kabam and just generally how the game is doing, and if they aren't losing a ton of money then you can assume that things aren't going that badly. They have made a lot more progress recently on fixing some of the initial bugs, but are still having problems when new ones crop up. Someone with more experience in game design or hardware/software platforms can probably give you a more comprehensive review, but bugs happen in a game as complicated as this.
Not everyone seems to realize that not everyone is encountering the same level of bugs. Some people complain that they haven't been able to play difficult content in months. Personally, the last few months for me have been almost identical to last Summer (aka a few small bugs but overall a well functioning game for me). They are still putting out a lot of new content, new champs, they haven't lost a large percentage of employees recently (some, but no evidence that they are irreplaceable or anything), they still are trying (not necessarily succeeding) to be better with community involvement, etc. Lots of hope for the game and for the future. You can also look at the number of downloads and number of new summoners.
Someone mentioned MROC being shutdown, the massive difference is MROC never caught on and don't think they ever really made a real net profit from it, which isn't surprising since it looked like a duplicate of a 20 year old marvel playstation game (no joke).
Last I saw, MCOC still makes massive net profit as people still spend despite all the issues. As long as the game is making big profits, it isn't going anywhere.
1.) Bugs, bugs and more bugs. While the frequency and severity differs from player to player for the bugs to be this pervasive in so many unrelated places is very concerning and the overall lack of acknowledgement and communication is disappointing.
2.) Communication. The if we ignore it maybe the community will move on approach to everything is beyond frustrating, which brings me to…
3.) Compensation. This isn’t an ask for it but more a comment on how poorly the communication was handled around discontinuing it. The in game message, followed by the forum post it was an accident, to the compensation not being issued in spite of the forum post… sorry just recovering from the whiplash of all that. Now let’s combine all this with the bugs being worse for most players since the beta input push with the June update making problems worse not better… lots of unhappy members of the community right now.
4.) Unpopular changes to the game in general… the uncommunicative stop to the celebrated buff program, the announcement of the balancing program, the changing AI that’s “not changing”. For me, this had an direct impact on my willingness to spend on preview bundles. Sure Hulking is great but will he stay that way? I’m not spending $50 on that gamble. Saves me money which is great, but gotta imagine if others feel the same way that’s not great for the game.
5.) Popular community and YouTubers scaling back posts and content creation. Seatin, BG, Puff leaving… the list goes on and on.
6.) An exodus from alliance play… just look at the forums and global. Lots of platinum and gold alliances are downgrading their activity or closing all together. Discontinuing compensation probably would have always had this side effect but it’s hard to know if it would have been this extreme if handled with a bit more care.
It’s gotten so bad, for me personally I think this 4th no matter how good the deals are I need to let them go by in a form of protest. It’d be great if others did the same. Not to hurt the game but to communicate back to Kabam that not enough is being done to address this bundle of issues that could in fact negatively impact this addiction we all love to feed.
I respect the concern you have for the state of the game! Rest assured that we have many future plans for MCOC and it isn't going anywhere anytime soon.
We're aware of many issues that are impacting summoners' experiences and we're working feverishly to try to resolve them. Sometimes progress can be slower than we'd like and I know it's frustrating. But believe us when we say you are being heard and we're working hard to fix the issues.
I tried to do some arenas 3 mins ago and even scrolling thru the roster is a pain. It scrolls slow, it opens a menu as if i clicked on the champion and tried to open his info menu...
Every update is untested.. its 1 step foward and 3 miles back....
Lets see this late update...
-Energy use bug
-Some champions bugged.
-Inputs dropped and lag issues
-Device overheating
Plans for the future should be FIXING THE GAME

*sic*
But anybody else not experiencing any of the major bugs being complainerd about such as unresponsive inputs, difficult AI etc.
Cause I haven't
You just acted like a prat, which if I’m being honest, isn’t really out of character for you.
