The Anger is real


I did one run and misread the tag so need to do another run. I have done fights that are tough and after I learn them, they are fun. This is not one of them. The node combination here with the passive AI was not fun. There were several times when I got close to a solo and then lost due to either herc standing in a corner and holding to sp3 while I try and bait him out or brute force taking me out because once again, baiting doesn't work. This was not fun for me. At all. This was frustrating and it's I and to restart several times before I decided to finally use a revive.

I get it, this is EoP and it isn't supposed to be easy nor do I want it to be easy. But either have brute fore and a passive AI or recharge, but having both their with a passive AI was brutal.

I know Mike stated with crossbones that they don't tweak the AI, but that there is a specific boss AI or something like that. Sure, they may not tweak the AI, but I think the nodes on the boss is what cause the AI to be either real passive or aggressive.

I just needed to rant. This was just not a fun fight for me and I enjoyed the last EoP. Not sure if I'll be able to do the rest of EoP, but with the champs lined up, I can only imagine the nodes on them next.

    I still can't beat him with r1 6* angela and even dupe the brute force still gets me or herc manages to fake dash forward and intercept me instead 😤
    The fake dash kills me! Also I beat him and used another revive...and I used the wrong tag...I'm dying inside

    I'm sure there is a "bug" that makes the AI change each update and so, here and there.

    Bug? What do u mean bugs, in mcoc we only have unintended features
    Zero to hero is bugged, it keeps triggering when I am near him most of the time 🤦

    I'm pretty sure the AI isn't bugged, recharge has historically been one of the nodes that changes AI behaviour a bit, yes it sucks and I don't like it but it isn't bugged. Other nodes are well known for how the computer plays with them active, eg oscillate where it is notoriously difficult to bait specials in the defence mode and they are hyper-agressive when they have the attack bonus. I both hate it as a player but understand it from a game design point of view. since the only way to gain power is by sitting in a block stance if you want to player to have to play the fight normally ie baiting specials then you need to tune the AI to be more defensive otherwise it just turns into variant 6 style heavy cheese. So far fine, however I have problems with how it has been implemented in this fight specifically.

    1.)It directly counters the foresight which is a problem since it is the main method of dealing damage and a passive AI is not conducive to being able to readily intercept

    2.)I think a node like heal or hide would have been super nice here, you stay far away you heal, but you have to balance that against longer unlockable/indestructible timing so it's a better risk reward pay of, at the moment it is just risk.

    3.)The degen is frustrating since if you begin to degen and AI isn't playing ball you die, some form of node that grants unblockable would really help to make it more manageable to both disrupt hercs power gain and refresh the degen timer.

    I understand non of this addresses the core problem and a lot of it is trying to offset issues with addition of nodes however I am full aware that it's not as simple as turning a dial marked aggression on a kabam PC, otherwise kabam would have done it already. Saying make the AI better isn't constructive and would be a back end nightmare to impliment.

    I agree with this too and yeah, my biggest issue is how the nodes were implemented and contradict eachother

    It's supposed to trigger. There's no activation criteria, just the fact that the buffs are paused if you're away from him.
