Remember when an underwhelming buff got fixed?

Back in March 2021 the Hood got buffed but people didn’t really like him. So Kabam took their time to fix him and now he is one of the generally loved mystics in the game. Why can’t that happen now? Psycho Man, Xpool, Yondu, Jane and maybe Gamora could use a 2nd chance to made great just like Hood. (Or if you don’t like Gamora, then her 5th chance)

As someone stated, Hood was first changed so drastically, it proved detrimental and the player base wisely spoke out. The 2nd update of Hood balanced the revisions with his core mechanics (and at sig 200, he’s one of the most useful champs).
There are too many champs yet to receive ANY buff for Kabam to sap resources on revisiting these again.
Feel free to raise your Yondu, while larger accounts are 5r5 or 6r4ing Nimrod. So in the end, the guy with Nimrod is not happy with the buff and the guy raising Yondu is annoyed he doesn't have a Nimrod, but glad he can move on.
As someone who's best counter for act 6 Sinister was a 5r4 Medusa, I was at least happy to have a great champ versus a ripoff scrub. (Yes, don't advise it., lol.)
And rebuff Guillotine healing more...that's much worse than the Hood scenario was.
I would do a better job with the buffs alone in 1 or 2 days.
Do you really believe the conversation that kabam had for a month with the Jane Foster buff? this looks like a 15 minute job.
Deadpool yes, despite not having liked it is visible that there was work there.
Psycho-man? I don't believe this took more than 5 minutes. He would still be bad even if they multiplied his damage by 3.
If you're going to do something lazy and poorly done, do more things like Youndu, they made him useful. Jane Foster remains useless and irrelevant.
I don't think it's a matter of competence, the guys know what they're doing. I think these buffs were bad on purpose, there's no reason for them to make old champions stronger and more viable and run out of ideas for new champions. If all buffs were like Venom, Mole-Man, Red Hulk, people would lose interest in new champions and be more excited about buffs than champion releases.
But what I think is, "Okay, you don't want to create a Magneto every month" But do buffs have to be that bad? Does every month have to be a new Psycho-Man? Just make the champion you created yourself viable, it needs to be at least an option.
However, that was never promised as up till now, whenever a champion was going to receive new animations, they were sure to notify us with the initial announcement. And while I admit that I wouldn't have minded some sort of Animation homage like in the movie and trailer, her animations and moveset are still fairly distinctive in comparison to a lot of the other first and second year champions who basically were copy and paste with their heavy attack and or basic combo stance.
