As a side note, it would be a cool insight into planning/future events if there was some sort of content/release tracker that covered either a percentage of *about* how much had been finished on any given part of the content (story content, BGs, and champs for sure, but also just cool new content, or other specific events) or projected timelines. Sure, surprises are welcome, but for content that is expected (eg. 8.1 release) it wouldn't spoil anything and in fact add to the anticipation. I wouldn't even care if dates were adjusted, but being able to see dates or progress might be an easy fallback and a good way to increase interest/transparency (and free up the forums about expected dates or "is this content coming back??" threads).
I would love to have a detailed post from a top developer to talk about the future of MCOC. I think there are so many things that could be improved upon and would like to know where top developers stand on some in game things.
One thing I would love is a revamp to incursions and make it a solo mode. It’s my favorite content in the game, but it is such a nightmare to coordinate with someone I know or have to settle for an unreliable random teammate.
Battlegrounds is an absolute game changer and really reinvigorating my love for the game. I know about it and that it’s coming back in September.
Complete overhaul of AW/AQ would be nice. AQ at this point is just so tedious and boring that it’s hard to get excited about.
I won’t get into preset masteries or any other topics that get brought up ad nauseam.
If you guys have to over monetize some parts of the game to make up for other parts that are more enjoyable, I’m all for it.
I'll be more willing to wait for 8.4, thats where the real rewards will be, 8.1 will give trinkets.
BGs will keep some of us going.
Permanent BG though, not another returning beta.
8.1 Release : September 14th or 21st
Battlegrounds : September 12nd or 19th
We will see new champs abilities sooner or later, nothing to prepare about that but in 8.1 details we might need to rank up someone for some new nodes, that info is most valuable one imo.
If the 8.1 details are juicy, then the 8.1 details.
If the 8.1 details are not enticing, then probably the 8.1 release date sans details.
If the 8.1 details are not enticing and the 8.1 release date is depressingly far in the future, go with Battlegrounds.
Character details only if it’s a game-breaking update for Dr. Strange or Iron Fist.

And I personally could not care less about battlegrounds. It's going to be similar to incursions for me - play it once every few months and then remember I hate the mode. So I don't need details about it.
