Out of what I think are ~204 champs available in the basic 6*, I have perhaps 40-50 pulls I would without question consider “additive” (either a new champ I want or a champ I have but would like to awaken or a champ to whom I would like to add sigs).
Let’s assume those are the only champs I’d want. That puts me at 20-25% of all basic pulls that would be what I would classify as “good” to “great” pulls.
Assuming a 3% drop rate for 6*’s in a nexus, that means I would need 8 nexus cavs to approximate the same drop rate for an individual 6* as the rate of satisfaction I could expect to get from a basic 6*.
Mind you, that drop rate from 8 nexus cavs would also be further reduced by the percentage of satisfactory 6*’s in the nexus cavs, making it less likely than even a simple basic 6* to be additive to my roster. (Sadly, there will probably never be a nexus Cavs with only the likes of Kitty, Herc, OS, etc.).
Even though I intuitively acknowledged that fact to myself, I’ve had fun with the nexus dailies and Wednesday offers; in fact, I’ve pulled an inordinate number of 6* champs (most of which have been of the Green Goblin or Psycho-Man or OML variety). My luck at pulling crappy 6* champs has been very good.
With that said, I’m done with offers like this. The price hike is fine if that’s what the team wants—it is prominently displayed and it does require two confirmations (even if the likely reality is that many players one-touch their way through the purchase). But there’s zero economic sense in burning twice the real $$$ for low drop rates.
Jeez.. it was this ONE CRYSTAL that changed price who knows why.. they never said it would be the set price from now on... How can u be so dramatic over 1 offer... Its like when the pop ups come for catalyst and stuff like that.. the prices are terrible doesnt mean u gotta buy them...
Because if this gets unnoticed, they may do it again in other, more serious offers. They could even increase the price to unit bundles in the near future, you never know.
Dude you don't have to comment on anything. Just go away. I see you comment on everyone's posts about this. You can seriously just keep scrolling. People are annoyed and frustrated that they did this offer a little shady.
This is not a permanent price change and was for this bundle in particular. I don't know why this one is different, but we're not making a permanent price change to these kinds of crystal bundles.
