Abomination (Immortal) Poison Damage

I noticed this while fighting OG Abomination in path A of 5.3.1. Abomination Immortal is taking damage from poison despite his description stating directly that he takes 100% less damage from poison. Is this a known issue?

5.3.1 Abom. Poison is 40% more effective (node buff).
If Abom.IM indeed says reduces by 100% or takes 100% less damage, then still gets hit with that extra 40% worth of poison.
