Nodes make this game unbearable.

I’m currently on act 5 chapter 1 dark Angel and the nodes kabam puts on this game are unbearable and generally make the game NOT fun. There’s a degeneration buff on this map meaning if you don’t land a punch within 6 seconds you lose your health ok fair enough you want to give us a challenge BUT WHEN THE COMPUTER STANDS THERE BLOCKING THE ENTIRE TIME, trying to bait you into doing a heavy attack so they can just stop blocking and start attacking just to REPEAT the process is madness after awhile kabam stacks the odds in the computers favor

Is it easy because you have the right maxed out 4 star characters ? Is it easy because you have rank 2 6 star characters ? Is it easy because you have enough credits to afford health items ? If so tell me what I’m doing wrong

Honestly just boost the heck up and brute force through it. Don't bother exploring and clearing once shouldn't be too difficult. When I was doing act 5, there were no degen immune champs so you just had to kill the opponent before they can kill you. And yes, stack up on HP potions and pray. It is widely agreed that many chapters before act 7 & 8 had BS nodes. Wait til you hit act 6.

I literally ranked up the 5* that I had when I played act 5 some years ago and won with that, and those were Green Goblin, Proxima Midnight, Sabretooth, Thing and Venom the Duck. And putting maybe some 4* sometimes like Old Man Logan, Scarlet Witch or Guillotine.

I just went for the easiest node for completion to get more and better champs.

Right now you can get 5* and 6* pretty soon, before you had to play a lot more to get a single 5* if you were not a whale or you had good champs to do what was endgame content.

Maybe 2 years ago I just explored act 5 pretty easily so I think you complain too much.

If you were talking about act 6? Then yeah, you would be right, act 6 is probably the hardest one, but act 5 is straight forward.

If you are skilled enough, champions shouldnt be a problem, and theres a lot of youtuber doing f2p runs doing act 5 with pretty normal champions.

As time has progressed, the early game has gotten accelerated so new players have more of a chance to catch up. As such, new players are able to obtain much stronger champions than was originally intended for their content. As a result, they can muscle through content without growing their skills for far far longer than ever before.

You are now reaching the point where you can't simply brute force your way through content. For veteran players, we first hit that roadblock in early act 4, or even act 3, so it can be difficult to relate to new players who have far stronger champions than we did.

People are saying it's easy because in the grand scheme of mcoc, there really is very little to worry about in 5.1 compared to later content. I don't say this to make you feel bad, but you should realize it. At this point you have a few options. Push through with units (not recommended), stay at your current level forever (if that's what you enjoy, go for it), stop playing mcoc (advised if you're not having fun), or start working on building your skills. If you want advice on how exactly to improve, people are more than willing to help, but if you just say it's too hard you likely won't get a very helpful reaction

Exactly right. We all reached that point where brute force method stops working. Then we had to master fundamental skills like parry, dex, intercept & actually read and understand nodes.

If someone wants continue mashing the screen like it’s Mortal Kombat, stick to arena tbh.

If you're looking for a option to combat the passive A.I, Dragon Man is good. He can gain unblockable from heavy for a short time. X-23 has healing so she can heal back lost health.

You have all the champions you need for act 5. You just need to put together a team.

Brute force potency is affected by class relationship, if you have the class advantage you will take much less damage. Keeping the ai aggressive requires a bit of AI manipulation, which takes a lot of practice, but here are some basics:

Leave yourself open. The less you're blocking the more likely it is that the defender will attack into you.

Don't finish your combos. Generally the AI is much more willing to dash back in if you only do partial combos.

Start baiting specials long before it's necessary. Right after they hit 2 bars, try to bait out the special. If they're not throwing it, use the occasional hit to keep brute force from triggering. With a whole bar of wiggle room it gives plenty of time for them to throw it.

Use champions with access to unblockable or power control. It reduces the number of things you need to keep track of. CGR, corvus, IMIW, and prof x all have access to unblockable and power control

You literally have better roster than I had while doing act 6 so If you are not able to do act 5, then read all the nodes, look for 5 champs that you have that are mostly good for at least doing one of the roads and do it.

You have enough dmg and immunity champs to do whole act 5 I think, but you have to play the right champs in the right nodes with some skill at least

Tbh bro you just got to push through the nodes and use your brain to figure them out

You have more of a diverse roster at chapter 1 than I did at chapter 4

I did whole of act 5 with 3 maxed 4 stars and 1 5 star rank 3 and one five star rank 2

    So you can do it

And they weren't game breaking champs, just sunspot, NF , doom, Mr fantastic and Spidey 99

With that roster and a bit of skill you can do it
