@Typhoon The Input issues and the way the AI is performing that people are complaining about is not new and Kabam has said multiple times they didn’t change or do anything. Good luck getting an honest answer from them but I’ll keep an eye out to see what they say if anything.
Luckily none of the glitching that Kabam has no way of ever fixing hasn't cost me a fight...however, there has been plenty of times today where the game paused for about 10 seconds at a time. Lagging has been around for quite some time, because Kabam isn't competent enough to fix their own game, but never to this extreme.
I noticed 2 problems very frequently: 1. Can’t chain in to heavy with HB after sp2, which was so easy to do when HB got buff. 2. While trying to dash backwards from blocking, it just opens the block and stands there to get slap in the face.
Does anybody know when we last had any official communication from Kabam about this? I haven’t seen anything for months and months.
I believe it’s more than 18 months since the input problems began. Who knows how long we’ve had the opt in for beta input system. I’m guessing at least 6 months.
But here we are, game still has massive issues for a significant proportion of players.
The most frustrating part is, Kabam must be well aware of this but all we get is radio silence. Read into that what you will.
I See more problems, but when i play the same fight 8-10 times (restart, tested in 8.1.4 Black Panther yesterday, but also tested often before the Update) then it will be „normal“ to play
1. AI is ultra (not playable) aggressiv and much passiv with SK. After SK3 the defender attacks me directly. 2. i have a video from 8.1.4, BP hits through my Block (i know the nodes) 3. heavy attacks are carried out without warning and the distance isn't a problem either 4. Sometimes a mistake happens and I think the AI notices the mistake and then stops attacking after 1-2 hits and then suddenly it's very passive.
And yes, i see also mistakes by myself, but Sole processes cannot be explained. iPhone 11
Any game mode - Dodging backwards, if I'm close to the AI always results in getting pounded. If I'm moderately far away, it still usually results in getting pounded.
Any game mode - The majority of the time, the AI will get the first hit in whether I'm trying to dodge back or parry.
Any game mode - AI is firing off their specials while I'm in the middle of a combo on them. They also fire off their special while still in standing up animation. AI is also firing off their special impossibly close to the end of my own special.
Any game mode - AI is able to move during heavy attacks to hit me if I'm not far enough out of its range.
Any game mode - AI is moving and blocking faster than it ever has.
Any game mode - game just stops accepting input during a combo resulting in AI being able to recover and combo me into oblivion.
Overall, since upgrading to the iPad Pro with the M1 chip about a year ago, the AI isn't just above human-level but almost god-like. I would love to know if Kabam actually tests on each device to see how the client is going to react based on the hardware.
Input issues afect everybody, in any game mode, in any device, more or less, but they do, so this is just another bug in the game, Kabam keeps saying that its not but and they will keep saying it
I’m glad I’m not the only one. My special button only seems to work 50% of the time now. Parry seems to have a delay, like the timing is different now. My heavies sometimes don’t work and my champ stands still, looking like a chad. Using an iPad ios 16.2
The only good news is I didn’t renew my Sigil so whatever, maybe a good time to take a break from the game.
Major input issues with my new iPhone 14 pro. When I try to heavy sometimes it works sometimes I just stand there and some times I just go running right into defenders.
Paragon player of 4-5 years, been having all the same issues as you guys more or less and have been for a while. Overall I love the game and have taken on the “F it or fight it” mentality realizing we’re all playing with the same issues. You can either deal with it or quit playing at this point. As much as you can feel cheated or lose fights you should have won so is every other person playing. I definitely get super annoyed/frustrated with the game at times now but still play. Ideally these issues shouldn’t exist in the game and hopefully Kabam will work on them over time but at the same time we are all playing with the same issues.At this point I expect all these issues to occur at any point during a fight and sadly consider them normal now/part of the challenge.

I suspect kabam made an ai that keeps on evolving on its own and they can't even do anything themselves to solve the problems that are arising . But on their part , i agree that they didn't do anything to change the ai . Missed inputs are a different thing that are due to "your own device".
It seems like the only thing they’re interested in is adding new champs or challenges to distract us from these ongoing issues. I’m convinced my iPad Pro isn’t compatible for competitive play on here anymore, prove me wrong Kabam.

Bold recommendation! REMOVE THE SPECIAL BUTTON since it doesn't work anyway.
Your opponent begins charging you as you're ready to unleash an SP2 and you hit the button, nothing happens, you hit it again, nothing happens, you hit it right before you get walloped and you get WALLOPED.
The AI is broken and the Kabam characters get all the benefit.
I don't mind using readily available revives for regular play but I'm now using half of GLORY for AQ revives and health potions because the game is screwed, and its the loyal players who lose.
Throne Breaker, been playing for 6 years, I know how to play.
Kabam give up 40% revives for 1 unit in AQ just as you have in AW since you can't fix anything.
dash forward when holding to perform a heavy attack. dash forward when parrying. dash backward when holding to perform a heavy attack. when parrying, don't parry and instead the opponent looks like they are unblockable and unstoppable when they are not. when parrying receive as much damage as when not parrying. after opponent performs a special, dash forward to attack while they are not blocking and bounce off the opponent and not land a hit even though they did not parry. after opponent performs a special, dash forward to attack while they are not blocking and your attack misses almost like the opponent is under falter, but the node and character is not under falter.
The harder the level, like on Mojo's Choice side quest, the AI ramps up. At level 5, the most input issues occur as the AI is dialed up the most. This proves a correlation between the current AI and input issues.
