  I prefer to provide my information to the Chinese government by providing it to the British government and then just presuming they'll fail to safeguard it adequately...

  Yes, it’s real. So the government in China can track how much you play and shut you off if it’s too much.

  It’s aimed at restricting youngsters from playing (and spending) too much. If your provided details are those of a minor, you are limited to playing only between 8-9pm on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays. The game will not open at other times.   I think it's a good thing that they're trying to push kids to do things that are more wholesome.
  
  I heard that kids can endlessly scroll on tik to, insta etc and the algorithm has to promote educational videos rather than cheap clickbait videos.

  The only way you can see these screens is if the game geolocates you within China. I would *not* recommend VPNing into China to experiment with this. This check is referred out to a third party Chinese company when it is triggered, and there seem to be protections to prevent a Chinese player who sees this from just using a VPN to evade it. Jumping *into* China to see this stuff for giggles and then turning off your VPN could, in certain circumstances, cause the game to think the reverse is happening, and lock you out of the game in a way very, very, very difficult to undo. Not even an appeal to support can automatically resolve this. I *think* Kabam has a way to address this now, but I don’t recommend being the one to test how fast that process is. It originally took weeks.
