v38.2 changes to Masochism, Buffet and Power Snack

Per the v38.2 release notes, (https://playcontestofchampions.com/news/v38-2-release-notes/), "Power Snack, Masochism, and Buffet were changed to instant Passives from instant Buffs to match Conflictor".

What was the ramifications pre-v38.2 and what will be different post-v38.2?

Does this alter nullify immune champions, does that alter how other AAR type abilities act?

    It means that it used to provide an instant buff to the defender, but now it will just properly be a passive effect. Just to avoid interactions here and there.

    For example, Galan with buffet node. Galan would gain his charges when buffet triggered despite him not actually gaining any buffs from it. Now he wont get charges from it, or at least he shouldn't

    Also you were able to shut down masochist/ buffet heal with Mehpisto’s prison, but now that’s not the case

    Stuff like neutralize, stagger, fate seal, buff immunity etc will no longer work against these nodes.

    Buff control will not work anymore for these nodes
    And nullify immune champs will get benefit from these nodes which they earlier didn't
