First off want to say I have not been banned I did not see the mythic crystals until after Rich the kids video, but I will say it’s completely ridiculous that this companies laziness and incompetence when releasing a side event can now get you and your account banned for just playing. This from an outside prospective might be the scummiest move I have ever seen a company do these players are getting punished and possibly losing accounts they spent hundreds of dollars on bc some stupid intern made it crystals instead of shards. I have an Idea maybe fix the incompetency in your company before blaming the player base and quite literally running some people’s accounts forever just another one of kanaka braindead moves that have gone against the player base over the last year

Ahh yes bc if I messed up my job I inadvertently get to blame someone else. And as someone who was not very into this game up until maybe a half year ago If I saw that as a cav player I would not have thought anything differently after all they gave the rewards and nowhere did it mention they meant another set of rewards. Just a way to say yep we **** up big time so by default we have to punish someone and we aren’t going to take blame.

Pretty much the epitome of scummy business behavior if you were to get given the wrong items at a restaurant and it was way more food than order they wouldn’t ban you from the restaurant for the rest of your life 🤷

Pretty sure it’s not legal to spend $1m that was accidentally deposited in your account

The dude’s bitter… let him vent. Just sorry it had to be taken out on poor Mr. Rich. 😬
You can see my previous posts these bans have no affect on me and there is quite literally a rapper named rich the kid very easy mix up if you are under the age of 25

Good thing that literally nothing like that has happened here then.
That literally exactly what happens they release a set of rewards that says you get an item than realized they **** up and changed the set of rewards than are punishing players for there incompetence like I said before didnt affect me just thinks it’s scummy especially for people that possibly just spent thousands on there most recent July 4th event

A while ago I was given 2000 GM crystals by mistake. It was meant to be 2000 shards, a kind of compensation because a eq cav went missing due to disconnection.
It was obvious it was a mistake and so I reported it.
Anyone that was in the position to claim those crystals has been playing long enough to know, for a fact, it was not intended to be full crystals, never mind THAT many of them.
If you knowingly exploit the game then you get what you deserve.
NOBODY was forced to claim and open them, it was a choice, the same as any cheating is.

Haven't seen a ban on players who have opened hundreds of the crystals.

Is all this hypothetical what is being discussed here?

It's just a hoax, i don't know about mythic crystal as i didn't get them, that's a lot of crystals and definitely in line for exploitation, they should take away rewards instead of banning though but for SQ things are different. Remember Bobble Bash had 30 6* crystal offer, did anyone get banned? Nope.
If it's their mistake and it's not an intentionally reoccurring glitch the loss is minimal at their end. They can't undupe or take away champs, i don't remember they doing it recently. Current SQ glitch at day 1 is minimal loss for Kabam and completely their mistake. One was not able to get to the boss if they didn't teleport to lanes.
Also those who couldn't do early glitchy events often tell to ban who could or punish them. It doesn't make them punishable, they didn't intentionally do it and it happened because of Kabam. Don't wish bad for others if you didn't get the good. And if they have it, let them keep it *T&C apply.
Best thing is to take away rewards over banning. Banning is for hacks/cheats not for offers/rewards/events put officially in game by Kabam themselves.
Also we ban people to prevent them temporarily or permanently from doing whatever wrong they did, in this case SQ is already fixed, so no point of banning, player can't repeat the glitch again.

OP, there hasn't been much communication about this, but the expectation is that most bans are supposed to be seven days.

And that less as a punishment, and more because cleaning up those accounts will take a lot of effort, and would only be harder if they were romping through BGs, EoP , the Gauntlet etc with their multiple new high-end champions.

This is more like a person getting a moped from a dealership which turns out to be a Bugatti; starting to burn rubber around the parking lot, and then having the Bugatti taken off them before they kill themselves.

They can get the moped back in a few days.

Based on the rich the man video they have already sent out bans to these players but again this is from his video not my own knowledge

Like I literally just said if you aren’t devoting to this game like the people acting all butthurt on this forum page you would have no idea these werent intended
It doesn’t matter if you have any idea. When you created your account you agreed to the terms of service as they are posted and supplied while signing up for your viewing pleasure. Every summoner had a chance to read them, it’s not Kabam’s fault if you blindly sign something because you didn’t want to read it.
And anyone that has reached Cav level would have a clear understanding that 1250 full crystals has never been and will never be a legitimate reward.

So it's scummy behavior from a business when it's been clearly written in their ToS? Restaurants tend not to fight those kind of issues because many times, it's not worth their time. They'll have to throw the food out anyways since it left the building. You can however, have charges pressed against you for taking the wrong food knowingly.

Where I work, we make deliveries. We've made deliveries to peoples homes that weren't the intended designation because there was an error from the salesperson not changing the delivery address. By your logic, that person is allowed to keep that delivery of furniture or appliances. But, you are wrong as it's against the law.

Kabam specifically has a clause in the ToS that addresses these types of situations. The scummy part is you thinking the players that exploited the bug, have no responsibility. You're part of the problem.
