AI breaking free from Multi Hit Specials

As the title says, I'm doing Thronebreaker 3.2 and using Black Cat and Nick Fury to counter the evades (Heavy Baiting with Black Cat to SP2 for those wondering), and multiple times now I've had the AI suddenly break free mid SP2 for Black Cat, and mid bulletfire from Nick Fury SP1. Each time they just dashing into my champion and start dishing combos once it ends, despite taking literal hits to the face from the special with no damage. No Unstoppable in effect either. Have had it happen during Heimdall and Abomination SEVERAL times.

    Thought it was just me. Happened to me twice in aq using Hercules. First hit of sp2 connects and then the defenders blocked the rest.
