Trophy champs

Idk why it hasn’t been done sooner but it’s time to buff the trophy champs im sure a lot of people have them and they are collecting dust I myself would love to use them but when you take kang for example he literally has 0 abilities it’s almost a joke and yes I’m aware the synergy that makes him ok but it’s not enough especially with the state of the game now. This is not a post to tear down anyone that put time into making these champs but I personally think it’s time to buff the trophy champs now and I’m sure I’m not the only one

    Eh. Most are fine where they are. It would be more annoying if champions I couldn’t obtain were on the top of the tier list. Only three I’d like to see rework are Thanos, UC, and IIF.

    They've said in the past that trophy champs aren't a priority compared to the rest of the roster and they're not wrong. There are still plenty of older champs that need buffs before Kang or Thanos.

    Trophy champions don't stop being trophy champions just because they're useful. Isn't the whole point of them that they're rare and hard to get? If so, how does making them useful detract from that?

    Just look at Weapon X. Hard to get and excellent in AW's

    Mr.0-8-4 You must not play a lot of games most people go hard to get trophy characters or let’s say trophy weapons to use them not to look at them they are not literal trophy’s lol but to your point obviously they are still trophy champs regardless of their use but considering a lot of luck or effort *take ultron for example* is needed to get them they should be worth it they don’t have to be game breaking

    Shadowstrike well we will have to disagree my friend cause first just cause they said it doesn’t mean and how can you say that when you’ve literally seen them buff/rework newer champs so how can you say one has priority over the other cause if priority is the case then the only champs we should be seeing buffs right now is the original roster cause a lot of them are meh

    That's fine that we can agree to disagree, I'm just repeating a statement that they themselves have said when someone asked them about this very topic.

    Secondly, I very much agree that ideally, they would put all of their energy and resources into reworking older Champions to bring them up to the current Meta. My personal favorite is Moon Knight and I was bummed that he didn't get a buff earlier this year when his show was released but such is life and it's not always easy to accept that things are happening behind the scenes that could delay that happening. That being said if a champion like Juggernaut, who at least 90% of all players have as a four-star is going to get buffed over Kang the Conqueror or Thanos, a champion that at most 30% of all players have as a four-star, the math still wouldn't support buffing a trophy Champion over a more accessible Champion.

    And for the record: I'm saying this as somebody with five star versions of Kang the Conqueror, Goldpool, Platinumpool and Weapon X. Would I like all of them to be equal to Weapon X on damage? Sure, but I'm not in hurry over other champs who could use it just a little more.

    I wonder if this is something that kabam would be looking into now that 7 stars are here and a new trophy champ is coming. Maybe buff the old trophy champs to bring them up to date with the current new champs in the game.
