recently with all the bugs people have exploited and gotten rewarded for it. i wonder if kabam will compensate those who followed the rules and decided not to exploit any bugs as that was the right thing to do. i really hope we do get some sort of compensation as if there is no punishment for exploiting and no reward for following the rules i feel like the game is gonna be a mess as soon as a bug goes live again. i really hope kabam rewards those who try to be good summoners on the game.

Mythic crystal- you weren't banned
Bg early - you didn't waste elders marks
Infinite ag - not sure what this is but i don't think you understand the concept of infinity
Path in Sq- you already got compensation

Employees : Players
Employer : Kabam
Employee 1: Loyal and honest (Not exploited any Bugs)
Employee 2 : Not Loyal and Dishonest ( Exploited Bugs)
Year 2022
Employee 1 Salary : 100k
Employee 2 Salary : 100k
Employee 1 continued working for the company (not banned)
Employee 2 as not loyal left the company for 6 months (exploited bug banned for x days / hours)
Year 2023:
Employee 1 get the hike of 5%
Employee 2 joined company again in 2023 after 6 months as stated above (ban got lifted) with 20% hike (~ Letting them keep 7* champs) + 10k Joining Bonus(BG reward gained using exploited champs)
Salary in 2023:
Employee 1: 105k
Employee 2: 120k + 10k = 130k
So, moral of story
I think you guys are smart enough
I seriously won't care if someone got 3-4 7*s from any exploit as long as the game has no major bugs, dropped inputs, etc etc...
The “ban” for the mythic crystal bug was about a day. If there’s an option to get a free 7 star or more and all I have to do is take a day off the game, sign me up.
The response to running multiple paths in the side quest with a single entry was a nice surprise. I’m sure some folks are wondering if that is going to be the norm going forward, hence the questions about what they will do about people playing BG early and getting a pile of tokens.
If the path forward is leniency on benefitting from bugs, I’m all for it. I just want clear expectations. I don’t want to play something being worried I may end up with a 7-day ban or worse but I also don’t want to keep playing it safe and missing out on rewards that others get to keep.
I understand every bug and every situation is different but I would appreciate an explanation for the decision in each case and a response to player concerns if we don’t agree with the decision or have questions about it that weren’t addressed. In most of the cases lately there hasn’t even been an explanation of the decision and the discussion about the decision gets closed with no comment.
And all the usual disclaimers apply, I know it’s their game, I know they don’t have to tell us anything, yada yada yada. I just see this as an area where there is significant room to improve and maybe convert more players into spenders by improving the experience a bit.
You then go on to respond to someone describing actual Kabam compensation for an issue with questions about 4 things, two of which are actually the same issue that the previous comment described the fix for.
You then make some bold claims:
"if there is no punishment for exploiting" - do you really not know the answer to this? Either you have heard about the bugs but not taken care to actually look into the fact that Kabam has most certainly responded to the ones you cited, and many others, or you just don't think that the reactions are appropriate. But there are certainly at least some punishments or recompense for almost all bugs/exploits if at all provable.
"no reward for following the rules" - as others have stated, continuing to be allowed to play the game is definitely a perk of following the rules. A clear conscience and encouraged moral character is also a plus that is reinforced by not gaming the system and actually sticking to proper conduct.
"i feel like the game is gonna be a mess as soon as a bug goes live again." - that's why they tend to try to avoid bugs. With a game this complicated, that's not an easy thing to do though. That is kinda how some bugs work though, the whole point is that a bug is the game not functioning as intended. However, plenty of bugs have been around in the game for years and not caused a major issue, so they aren't front page of the forums. Just an overreaction if you ask me.
*Demand compensation from police department for not violating any laws
*Demand compensation from Wall Street for not conducting insider trading
*Demand compensation from mortgage company for never being late on payment
*Demand compensation from my job in addition to normal pay for doing my job and doing what I'm supposed to
Escpecially the bg tearly should be compensated. I guess a bunch of players (that's a guess based on alliance line chats) got somewhere from around 5,5k to 15k trophy tokens. Just sending 10k trophy tokens as compensation for those that didn't complete a VT tier seems logical. Anyway
