Ok so while Monica is in her pure light form, special attacks cannot be dodged with dex.
A little annoying but you can just tank it into block right? WRONG!
These special attacks become unblockable and undodgeable while pure light form is active.
Basically you will get hit, you will take damage, and there’s nothing you can do about it.
Doesn’t really seem like a fair game mechanic. Completely unavoidable damage.

Not really.
- There are Champions who can dodge without using the Dexterity Mastery (Nightcrawler, Quicksilver Invisible Woman, Silk, Spidey-2099, Vulture, and a couple of others)
- You could use Power Control champions to largely stop specials getting thrown in the first place
- You could use Evade champs - especially Gwen and Mr Fantastic, who are extra-good at Evading Unblockable; or Starky and Silk who are amazing at Evading Specials
- You could use Champions who can Block Unblockable (Shuri, Mr Sinister, Mordo)
- You could use Champions with specific Damage reduction mechanics -
- Awakened Thing
- Yellowjacket, Nova (Unblockable attacks have -70% damage)
Or use Champions with high Energy Resistance (Guardian, Havok, Bishop, Mordo again, Yellowjacket again)
Edit: I forgot there are champions that can use dexterity without the mastery as @Magrailothos pointed out. I guess that means we have counters, but I can't say I feel good about it
Also, you can do the intended thing and use champions that stop her getting into the annoying damage mode. DAAR champs like falcon (or maybe black panther OG and black cat as well?) who stop her debuffs applying, or tranquillise champs like Mantis or Kate bishop
(I’ll also add Titania to the list of damage reduction champs, obviously using haymakers to tank, but spamming specials and applying weaknesses with the inequity mastery can keep up a consistent 80-90% damage reduction)
