Fun and Interactive fight

I was going through 5.4.4 with my alt account and came across this extremely fun, extremely interactive fight that I wanted to share with you all.

So this is war machine on biohazard and enhanced special 1. As far as I know it is impossible to dex and then block war machines sp1 so you are forced to eat this in the face if he decides to throw it. Pre buff war Machine wouldn't be a problem but post buff war machine has ruptures on his sp1 that nuke your health bar. On top of this there is biohazard so you need a bleed/poison immune champ or at least one that can reduce that damage. But there's no one aside from lady deathstrike as far as I'm aware that can mitigate the bleed and rupture damage. Anyone got any ideas?
Not saying this should be changed or anything. Just something I came across that genuinely puzzled me as to why it's here in the nerfed version of act 5.

Edit: I forgot to mention that the second line node gives him a fat sack of furies that only go away if they are nullified or if he hits you

Corvus and Omega Red come to mind immediately for any biohazard fight. Kingpin+Hood synergy should have a good time

Kingpin + hood is a good shout. Omega red and corvus can't deal with the main issue which is that if war machine decides to throw the sp1 your health gets shredded by rupture. It seems out of place that the best option for an act 5 fight in today's state of the game is looking like a specific synergy team so far

Here's a before and after of 6* r2 corvus eating that sp1. Probably not indicative of the caliber of champ or mastery setup a person who's expecting to be in this quest is using.

He chunked of about 12500 health with that bad boy.
(Yes I'm aware corvus could have easily obliterated him well before he threw this. I'm just trying to demonstrate the damage this dude puts out)

I think the point is just to teach players how to bait heavies and prevent defenders from throwing their specials. I don't think you need a specific synergy or anything, just a specific strategy

    Ghost should nuke him easily

I had to specifically upgrade 4* to R5, iceman, luke cage and Vision AOU to explore act5 biohazard paths.
The 1 and only bleed immune 5* I had was a unduped r2 Ghost rider.
And oh mi gud......... His fights were 200 hits as I cycled his regen again and again. .

Lmao this path was hard. Was there a ultron or Medusa in this path too? The medusa did her autoblock and poisoned you to death. 😆

Good ol times, when the story content mattered, Still Remember so much of act4/5/6 after years, Partially true for 7.1.
But after 7.2, I don't remember jack about fights or paths.

Champions like ghost and kitty can handle it with phase. You could use someone like Luke cage who is bleed immune and can tank specials. Dormammu is bleed immune and can keep him below a bar of power forever. There are also champions that can block unblockable attacks, though off the top of my head I can't think of any that are bleed immune.

However, at the end of the day this is a fight that is intended to teach you how to manipulate the ai into holding their specials. Many fights in story content are designed to make you learn how to coerce the ai into doing what you want, and if you can figure it out now you'll thank yourself later. There won't always be a way around it

    The pleasure is all mine.

I've come to the conclusion you're a child with an inferiority complex, and while I'll continue to be as constructive as possible with everyone else on these forums, I think it's time you be treated with the same sarcastic nonsense you treat everyone else with.

I'll leave you with a cookie though...

Scorpion can be immune to rupture and poison by placing his shock immune prefight. Time your attacks around the bleed phase.

When awakened, he can block unblockable attacks when the opponent is taunted after his sp1.

    It's Biohazard, not Hazard Shift

Fair point. Misread that. Makes Scorpion an even better counter though.

I appreciate the constructive response beyond the stupid beefing. My main goal with making this post was to put it out there that this fight is instant death for anyone who is not a hard counter or unit man. Having a war machine with enhanced special 1 here is pretty dirty for where it is placed in the game. This feels like an act 6 fight where it is much more common to have to have hard counters to fights. The way the rest of the changed act 5 is structured makes this fight feel very out of place for progressing players.

Just an FYI that's an easy fight with any bleed immune. Enhanced sp1 sounds bad until you actually read the node. You can block the projectile that war machine shoots from sp1

I honestly just don't think it is. I tried it out with maybe 8 or 9 of the 4* champions I already had at rank 4 and they all worked just fine for it. It really just requires learning to bait heavies and having a Biohazard counter.
