Why is the new War system so hated?

So i’ve seen a couple of videos and forum posts where people are mentioning how terrible the new Alliance War system is, without really elaborating and i really don’t get the hate.
For me the new war system has been less stressful. Place once at the start of the season and your champions will be there for the next war. Means nobody misses placement phase at all, but we can change teams when we want, whether that’s due to having a new defender or simply wanting to switch nodes.
2 day wars are also much less stressful, no pressure to log on at the very start of the war (which in my time zone is often late at night) and be active for the whole day after, if i have a busy day i can come in later, and no longer are we stressed and worried for late starters or stragglers in war, as they usually have a full day after 7/8 of us have completed the map. We get the same downtime usually with more flexibility. I do see a situation where if nobody can get the boss down then their champs are locked for 2 days, but i don’t see that happening in gold wars, let alone tiers above that.
Now i’m not an officer in my alliance nor do i play in top top tier wars. However the officers in my alliance are very transparent and communicative, and yet they haven’t complained so far, in fact the guys in charge of placement say it’s far better now, as they don’t have to sort defenders every war, waiting for stragglers to place throughout the day.
Now a lot of the most prominent members of the community (content creators etc) are part of top tier alliances, and i cannot speak for them, but playing in Gold currently i honestly don’t see many downsides.
I’m certain there’s something to the complaints and hate, so please tell me i’m wrong and enlighten me, what’s so bad about the new system?

That’s technically the players fault but I think kabam should have given everyone more time in between wars. It feels too fast paced now even though the intent was to make it less stressful.
For some background, we never took war seriously. We would do one BG, in season only, and would usually only have the same 6-7 consistent players, and if we filled a whole BG, those last few players were random, and only joined after asking several times.
So that's where the problem is in my opinion. It makes "casual" war extremely difficult due to the shorter defense placement phase.
I imagine this is a welcome change for the very serious war alliances that fill 3 BGs every time, but it's just too much of a nuance for us now.
Some problems:
1. The placement phase was for course correcting. Checking defender placements that work, helping people add new defenders that they have ranked up, dealing with changing bgs around especially if people leave the alliance, etc. Now, we are doing that while the attack phase is on.
2. Attack phase for one day was easier to coordinate. We could split up the day between two officers per bg and check that every one is following lanes and bringing counters. Two days continuous is too much. It is taking a toll on how long you need to be online. For alliances that are set and not seeing any personnel changes, this might not be a problem. For us, a lot of people are quitting the game or taking breaks because of thr bugs.
3. Kabam gave no adjustment time and therefore we had to figure things out ourselves in thr first 3 wars. I had 4 people who had joined bgs in thr off season and i changed their bgs for the aw season. However, their bgs filled up and i couldnt figure out how to switch them to their new bgs. I didnt know there was a leave bg option because it was hidden behind the team select screen. Lots of time wasted trying to figure out the new format.
4. Boosts are not lasting long and therefore people are actually holding back till the last day and completing as many defenders in one go. This means almost no one is going for attack on day 1. Even with assigned lanes, people are trying to finish 4 defenders across 2 lanes with one boost and therefore as officer, you need to keep track for entire period to see if someone has suddenly completed 2 paths.
5. This is also the first war with 7*s. Our alliance typically uses 6r3 or higher and we check everyone's roster in start of war season to choose best defenders. In the past, when someone ranked a new r3 or r4 mkd war it was easy to adjust. Most of the time, these defenders went into the first and sometimes second section. Now with 7*s being common in war for the first time, people get 7* Bishop, Kindred, Titania, America Chavez and r1 that 7*, it goes into boss lane or end of war nodes. It requires a full readjustment of defenders and combined with other points, adds to time spent.
Its a lot of small things but they add up. Kabam should have given a tutorial for this war AND increased the powe that officers have on defense placements and attack phase coordination. Officers are just putting more time than ever before.
I personally left a competitive alliance because of the terrible mastery system and am just playing casually in p3.
However it's tougher to navigate if you don't run 3 BGs or you don't participate in every AW during the season or have members swap in and out in order to have people hit the season rewards minimum.
There weren't enough "how to" instructions given from Kabam for folks in the latter example. I guess I did a poor job at giving specific examples, but I think changing BG line ups is the most difficult thing.

It has a lot of good points & possible solutions in it.
