The player with higher total rating of all 30 champs in his deck places his defender first. If somehow the rating are equal than 5050.

    I would say the summoner who places the defender first should also pick the attacker last. Going first both times is a big disadvantage. More strategy would be involved if you can see what the other player will use as an attacker.

    I don't think it is likely that the devs are going to go back to having deck rating mean anything when it comes to the mechanics of the mode. Deck rating can be manipulated, and it is just too difficult to anticipate all the ways this can go sideways.

    Why that would give you lower ranked attacker "Ultra confidence"?

    You have 5050 higher rating = Insta KO
