7 stars in BG, prestige ranking

It seems that when I have a 6 star, r4/r3 against a maxed out 7 star, r1, their prestige ratings are pretty close, yet when fighting them, my specials do less damage and if I slip up on defense it's over. I tend to run into rosters that have a lot of 7 stars, and though the prestige is similar to my 6 stars, I'm definitely seeing a greater gap then when battling other 6 stars with equal prestige. Should the prestige for these 7 stars be raised, to allow for better matchmaking in Battlegrounds?

    Laser, could you po8me to a post, or elaborate on how challenger rating is incorporated into bg?
    If not, I still appreciate the initial response.

    Challenger rating is across the entire game not just battlegrounds. It always works the same way
