Banquet cutoff

So, it seems like the banquet will be starting on the 20th dec, i assume at 1pm EST like all events. But, the war season will be ending on the 6th. Which means if you want to join another alliance after the season, you will be 15-20 hours late (depending on when the season rewards drop, because they will drop sometime on the 7th) for the beginning of the banquet event. And we all know most people will spend their units when the event starts, which means you would lose on a lot of milestone rewards. Ill go a little bit harder in the Banquet, and i want to do it in an alliance that has a similar point goal as me. But, i dont want to leave my current alliance before rewards drop, because ive been there for the full season. Can the cutoff be changed to 13 days? Or can the banquet event be pushed a day back? Or any other ways that im possibly not thinking of? Because its really not cool to make us choose between war rewards and banquet.

@Buttehrs thats not a problem at all, but if the alliance you want to join already claims a milestone before your eligibility, i think you wont be able to claim those prior milestone rewards at all. And we all know that alliances will hit all milestones the first day of banquet. (At least those that are serious)

As long as you are in the alliance when the milestones are unlocked, you should be eligible for the rewards once you are able to contribute points. You are only unable to claim the milestones the alliance earned before you joined them.

To clarify, if you don’t join the alliance until after the event starts in the 20th, the “milestones the alliance earned before you joined them” will obviously NOT be available to you, *because* ALL of the Ally portion of event will NOT be available to you (including all subsequent milestones too).

Tone of the prior comment made it seem like milestones earned “prior to you meeting the 2 week requirement eligibility” would not be claimable. That is not right. It is just that you would need to wait until you hit your 2 week eligibility (you have been in the alliance, just not 14 days yet), and *then* contribute and be able to claim existing milestones.

My anxious brain worried about this and would like the clarity. I think you’re right. I hope you’re right. I’d like to see it in orange text.

Man, the people planning this fumbled the bag for absolutely no reason. Switching alliances during this time has not been more stressful and it’s ridiculous.

    Why ?
The line “fully participate” just means that if you want to start doing things in DAY-1 of the Banquet, you would have had to be in Ally by Dec 6th.

But nothing prevents you from joining some days later (after AW rewards, but still say 11 days before Banquet starts), and just hold off buying/opening your Banquet Crystals until 3 days into the event (still plenty of time until end of event in order to get all your Banquet stuff done).

Participation in the “Sending Accolades” (aka, nominating teammates for different things, which if they get nominated enough in same category they can earn a special Title, if done like last year), would also have to wait a few days in that case too.
*and possibly (?) not be able to “receive” Accolades until your “requirement days” has been met too, but I think it really only applies to “sending” them. So I guess that is why they say “to fully participate, …”.

Why can't Kabam reduce the cooldown to 7-10 days? What's even the goal for 14 days other than making Alliance changing pain right up in the butt hole

Because the event lasts 14 days. If it’s 7-10 days or anything less than the length of the event, you can earn rewards from multiple alliances. I.e open crystals on day 1, earn all milestone rewards, move to/create new alliance and do it all over on day 8. Or day 11 if it’s a 10 day cooldown.

They are in control of all these factors.. they know it’s 14 days. They chose purposefully to allow the events to overlap… could’ve started 21st… could’ve been 13 days.. could’ve allowed for one day .. they made the decision to make a lot of people feel forced to stay where they don’t want to. Everyone knows day one in most alliances is the day with the most milestones achieved. Some alliances have the majority of rewards on day one and they KNOW that!!!

They are making a decision to screw their customers again

@Kabam Miike why is the decision for Kabam always to disregard customer convenience? Why would you start aw season that day instead of a day earlier? Or why not start the event there 21st?

Why do people have to choose between aw and banquet rewards? Why wouldn’t you guys make it painless for the customer? How do you not see this will actually cost your company money if even a tiny fraction of players decide to not spend what they would’ve out of spite? Is profit maximization not a concern? You cut free resources like it is. Drag your feet fixing issues like it matters.
