Feedback on AW from the perspective of a lower tier Alliance

Disclaimer
I have no interest in discussing our opponent alliances in this post. They played well and we have nothing but respect for them. Our problem is only with AW.Background
Ours is a retirement alliance. We play very casually. For over 2 years we never did AW. I thought of trying AW this year. For the most part it is nice. It's definitely better than other game modes (SQ, EQ, Arenas) where we have to do a lot of repetitive fights. Anyway I digress. The main reason for us to do AW is the loyalty. Right now Loyalty = 7* champion for me. I already got 3 from loyalty store. The Problem
To get the low hanging fruit out of the way: The season rewards suck. We end up in Silver 3/Bronze 1 and clearly those rewards a terrible (even with the new changes to the upcoming season). I don't mind them though. I only play for Loyalty. The main problem we face is in the scoring of alliance wars. The scoring of the war is biased towards exploration and diversity rather than attack bonus. It has happened to us too many times that we have lost simply because our opponents explored more of the map but dying so many times (many many times more than us). In a typical war our alliance has about 4-5 deaths. In many cases our opponents have ~40 deaths and they still win.
To be clear, I don't have problem with having points in Diversity and Exploration. They are good as they are. However, attack bonus must be increased or it ends up promoting low skill over high skilled gameplay.
An Example
This example is from our latest war (concluded today). We had a total of 3 deaths. Our opponent had 38 deaths. We had a total of 30 defenders (6 players joined war). Our opponents had 45 defenders. We defeated 36 of 45 defenders. Our opponents defeated 23 of 30.This image shows the activites of the war:
This image shows the problem:
The attack bonus is 94 for our opponent whereas it is 111 for us. The difference of 17. To defeat 23 opponents our opponents died 38 times and yet they won. This is the problem my alliance mates have with AW. The scoring encourages mediocre play. I'm not sure how it is in higher tier wars.
Of course this was during off season. However, it has happened to us multiple times during the last season of war as well. Here's one screenshot I could take (I am not able to get more as the history is no longer available) from one of our wars during the last season.
Again, I don't have any problem in losing wars. As far as I'm concerned the rewards are mediocre at best (I can get better rewards from SQ and Battlegrounds). I do have a problem in the way attack bonus is awarded during AW scoring. Please make it so that the scores are justified and reward skilled gameplay.
I would also like to say that it is not the case that 1 player died, then revived 10-20 times for the same fight. Our defense is generally strong and deaths were uniformly distributed. I could post the full map for our current war but I think it is not required as I think I've made my point.
Solutions
To be frank, I don't really have any solutions. I'm pretty sure the developers and players can point to good solutions. I'm looking for the community to give us good solutions. Of the top of my head I feel attack bonus should be given out per defeated defender: 3 points for full attack bonus (1-shot the defender). 2 points for 1 death. 1 point for 2 deaths and 0 points thereafter. For the boss 10 points for 1 shot. 2 points for 1 death and 0 for more than one death. Attack bonus should be the sum of these points at the end of the war.Again, I don't have a problem with diversity and exploration bonuses. They can remain as they are.
Epilogue
That is all that I wanted to point out. I enjoy this game but losing wars like this is never a great way to lose a war. I hope things would improve. I like playing the game and I only want to enjoy both wins and losses. Thanks for reading,
Xed.
