some weird bug after member switch - HELP NEEDED

Hey there,
We got a hughe problem in our alliance...after a member left the alliance for a break, he still blocks a place in the alliance war battlegroup for defense placement...
The new player can join attack, can play alliance mission and everything, just cant place defense, bcuz somehow the ex-member blocks the spot and the battlegroup calls 10/10 for placement...His champs are somehow gone - means we're 1 player less in defense.

Support was already contacted but didnt/couldnt help, war enlistment was cancelled and reassigned...but nothing eighter ...we really need help to solve the problem - so i write here now....

    If this is for the CURRENT war, the one which had already started prior to that original person leaving and the new person joining, then the old person's defense setup for the NEXT war may still continue in place during the duration of this current war, UNTIL THAT NEXT WAR STARTS.

    That may unfortunately not allow a new person to place defense in advance for next war, even though once it starts then they SHOULD be able to join in attack for it.
    There might be a 4 hour window (after attack day ends, and before next matchmaking begins ? Does that window still exist ?)

    But then during said “next” war's attack, the new person should then be able to place defense for the war AFTER THAT.
    Sounds like maybe you are already into that next war's attack, and new person (if able to be in Attack right now), should now be able to place defense as well for wars after this.

    We passend already serveral war's after the member left. There is no window left where the old member could be "safed" in the battlegroup.
    As mentioned his DEF isnt left on the map - he just blocks the space somehow while DEF placement phase.

    The alliance is at 30/30 members, all battlegroups are at 10/10 for DEF placement, in said bg1 our member cant join the group and set his defenders, cuz somehow the game still registers the left member as assigned to the bg like a ghost.

    How are you sure it is the previous member that is registered to the BG still ?
    Where it says 10/10, what are the members names (ie, is the old member still listed) ?

    Or could it potentially be that the new member had joined Defense in one of the other BG’s but that it is not apparent because maybe they only have defenders in either of the +/UP or -/DOWN Map Tier, and not the CURRENT Map Tier (so it looks like they are NOT in that other BG) ??

    Above case is what typically is causing members to say they can’t join a BG (gives an error), in cases where BG's are not full, so they try and join, but can’t because they are already somewhere else (but hard to see that they are).

    I can tell this, because the former member is still shown as "withdrawn" in the battlegroup - we can click this and get redirected to his profile in the other alliance.
    The bg shows 10/10members, where there could only be 9.

    We're shown as 30/30 players joined in the bg's, with only 29 defense teams on the map (the champions of the "ghost"player are missing) and one player in the guild is unable to place his defense setup.

    We also can switch other members from the other bg's, everyone can join and place theyre defense in bg2&3, but noone in bg1.
    Its really weird- but cant explain better in english.
    Just can say, we tried everything possible - we're t2 in aw, playing safe platinum3 seasons with years of experience in the functions of an alliance, I can't think a scenario where we are missing something to solve this.

    Does this technicaly mean that if someone stopped playing the game you wouldn't be able to remove them from the defence?...

    We contacted the support before the weekend already. They tried as they said - but didnt solve the problem so far.
    I sent them screenshots and even recorded a video they watched already...still nothing and the weekend started...so still waiting patiently - but i slowly get nervous since the new season is starting soon.

    Out of desperation I wrote here to maybe get some help somehow or at least to catch some attention for the problem.

    Have someone who has already placed, leave battlegroup and place again. If that doesn’t work, check other war maps to make sure another member hasn’t placed by accident

    We did already as mentioned above and noone placed somewhere else by accident eighter, thats what we checked in the beginning directly but was impossible anyway since everyone else is, where they belong.
    We let members leave and rejoin battlegroup several times - kinda normal process while placing new defense teams anyways, but it's always the one spot wich is still blocked by a "withdrawn" ghost.

    I wrote twice with the support again.
    After some chatting, and some stuff they did as they said, they told us to reset the bg again, by once again removing a "working" player completely from the bg....aaaaand voila, after this guy rejoined, the "ghost" finally dissapeared this time.
    My guess now is that the bug appeared on the preset tier map we cant access atm, since we reached t2 1 or 2 wars before season finals, but placed all tiers possible before.
    So support finally helped solving the problem, the communication went quite well also with 2 different tickets after i got ghosted at one before haha.

    Thanks also for all guys, helping here to catch attention and support for this problem.
