I know Tigra is already good but was planning on ranking her once I mastered missing specials with her (my spacing on most specials is decent and heavies is proficient, just need to get better with knowing when to tap light vs double light vs charging the heavy to wait out the duration of their special etc)

With that said, even if one was decently good with Tigra, Abs has the advantage of being a Dual Threat in BGs and very unique utility from a mystic champ . Abs was originally going to be my first mystic r5

    I would only r5 tigra if you use her all the time. If you’re ranking her mostly for the challenge I’d go abs man

    If you're planning on doing the challenge and haven't mastered Tigra yet, then you want her at r5.

    If you aren't planning on doing it anytime soon, then she will be fine at r4 for awhile. Keep in mind that 8.4 might have r5 gems in there too.

    Have both R5 ascended. Absman by far the better choice with wider use case.
    My Tigra is a specialist for certain fights.. not a general purpose champ. Not that she can't.. just a bit too squishy for my skills.

    Permanent yes , but if you have say revives or potions expiring from daily crystals or 22h events plus apothecary , and you have the WOE objectives cleared , it incentivizes you to make use of them as opposed to letting them evaporate in thin air.

    I still think Tigra is a far far better attacker. I’ve had her ranked and ascended for a bit and she crushes most matchups in battlegrounds with ease

    Honestly, Abs isn’t a hard defender imo. I always have a good science to counter him and if I don’t, Tigra can nuke him in like 25 seconds. If you have the skills to use her, Tigra > Abs easy for stuff like battlegrounds

    Just as a fun point, I’ve gotten some sneaky kills in BGs with my R4 Tigra. It can definitely depend on the mega and if you can box the opponent into a subpar attacker, but people never expect her as a defender and the unblockable specials can slap if they’re not careful. She’s definitely less meta than Abs, but I don’t think taking her up first is a terrible idea. Abs is still a pain at R4, and you’re gonna want all the power you can get for that monstrosity of a challenge. Do what you like.

    What’s the best way to learn Tigra? I never really cared to learn her, but now I have incentive to lol

    … this is an extremely specific hypothetical. Is this your situation? And is this the only one of these challenges you have the roster available for, or could you do different ones first that don’t require the rank ups?

    I’ve always wanted to learn Tigra. It would just be a costly investment since before today mine was unawakened and still 6r1. I’m curious if she would make a good deterrent in my BGs deck if I have her at a high lvl (for tackling this challenge).

    My theory is from my own experience. Whenever I see a high lvl Tigra, she’s an automatic ban…because I assume the player knows how to play her properly if they took her that high, and she can be deadly. So, maybe they’ll fall for my trap when in actuality I have no clue how to play her 😎

    If I want to r5 Tigra, I will do her over abs man.
    But even if I'm super skilled with Tigra and have her at r5 ascended, I won't do fintech's challenge.
