And though I can't be 100% sure, I'm pretty sure that is how it's always been when tickets were involved for AQ (like map 8 initially)
Once upon a time there used to something called alliance treasury. People could pool their resources and buy entries.
Hated the treasury system. No way to track who had donated without screenshots. Always chasing after players that missed donations or forgot to take a picture. The current system of everyone having to pay their own way is much better.

Not at the price Kabam us expcting us to pay for 1 ticket. 800 units plus 160k loyalty its an absolute joke
So you havent completed any AQ for the 5 or 6 weeks since the last raid? You get tickets for regular AQ exploration. What did you do when Kabam let us keep the thousands of free glory? I bought raid tickets.

You just solved a years long old mystery for me. When I used to see alliance recruitment saying donations required, I always thought that this was a way for mercs to 'legitimately' get money. I now see they probably meant donations to the Treasury. 😅
I tjink 180 tickets from each player is absurd. Considering the reward for 100% map 8 is 8 tickets it’s a ridiculous price. It should be 80 tickets at most, there’s no reason why 100%ing map 8 10 times should give you even half an entry.

Yep - I dont miss that at all. Always had a few sponges in the group.
Come on now! Each summoner has to buy their own RAID tickets. This is ridiculous and disappointing. Got to do better KABAM!!
It's not even much. Save some glory each week from aq and buy tickets. Don't spend it one something else like you probably do.
Gonna disagree. Raid ticket cost is steep. The only silver lining is that it's every 4 weeks.
Yeah, and the Raid chests aren't necessarily better, depending on your RNG.
Miss out on items from Glory/Loyalty/Incursion store in order to buy Raid tickets, enter Raid and put in some work (and maybe spend some units for revives if that is what ends up happening).... and maybe end up with something similar (or worse or better) to what you could have bought in the Store.
It is just odd that one has to put in a lot of work in other game modes (do Incursions, maybe run higher AQ maps than you normally do, or just choose to win your AW), just to be able to do this special AQ map.
Even though Kabam is 'graciously' letting us choose which of our resources from other content can be converted into Raid tickets, it still is weird to depend on other content type. Essentially Kabam is trying to force player engagement with different parts of the game.
Imagine if Battlegrounds required one to play AW and/or AQ just to be able to participate in a BG season.

A big issue for me also is that gold is not one of those options. Not that gold is common but being able to spread this cost as it is now across all other resources is much more appealing than having to drain a limited pool for this, and then end up with the same if not worse rewards overall.

Smh
However the current RAIDS price is pretty high.
Just need 10 wars
