Aegon if you're going to farm monthly for revives and you just want to get Necro done any way possible. Takes more revives but is easy and doesn't stress you out after 1 path.
Kate if you are highly skilled player, who can constantly dex specials after specials while being ROOTED and also managing debuff uptime. Is not easy and will stress you out for being focused 100% of each second.
If you are going to go for one run and quit necro, kate is better.
Easy path can be done with both kate and aegon in less number of revives.
Just practice perfect release with kate, Try to get good with knocking down in corner but don't stress much, even if you mess up you can restore coldsnaps in 1-2 specials. You just have to be good with perfect release
I almost explored necropolis, I miss only one path (path 6), I used kate until now, and I'm planning to use her for path 6 too. Yeah she requires more skill than aegon, but it doesn't mean you have to play like MSD lmao. If the fight is difficult, just go straight for coldsnap instead of fragility at the start of fight, in the worst case scenario you've done however a lot of damage. Bottom paths are hard with kate, but still I've used her in path 4 and 5 along side fury and doom as main champs, juggs for spidey supreme and GM, I didn't use chavez sinergy for path 4 and 5, but I regret that in path 5 (in path 4 I needed to use sandman for diablo). For my last path I'm planning to bring chavez and use maximum output kate.
It is totally upto you. If you want see 80k yellow number floating on the scree than go for aegon
Or if you want see 40k DOT per second in red then go for kate (but skill required). She is a ruler in Necropolis. Kate is much cheaper than aegon.
I didn't have kate when I was doing necropolis nor 7* shuri..I explored necropolis with Aegon and did it while lying on bed. Literally no stress😂😂 But I farmed so many from Act5.4 when farming was alive in the game.
What I mean by that is if you go into a fight with a ramped Aegon, you’re taking at least 10% off their health bar even if you just throw your phone down the stairs. Kate, however, requires you to actually pay attention the fights.
That being said, Kate can get solos on just about every fight you use her for, whereas Aegon will need a revive or two for most fights.
There’s no right or wrong answer, it’s just a question of what you experience you’re looking for here.
Thank you all, I am good with Kate and I think she will be more versatile for later use as Aegon is more for this type of content. But thought Aegon will be much easier , I have them both at rank 4 so I will test them and see. Which team/path do you recommend for Kate?
Kate can do it in less items, but Aegon is easier to brute force most paths. My Kate was R1 Unduped when I was already 4 paths deep, so my choice was already made for me.
If you want to blitz through it go with Aegon, but if you want to use less revives and get better at the game pick Kate. I spent a couple hours practicing with her before using her for my runs and that is very important as it will save you a ton of revives. I didn’t really like Kate before necro but after exploring necro I really enjoy using her, I can now perfectly time both her sp1 and her sp2. And I got better about using heavies to punish specials. Overall it made me a better player and I enjoyed getting better with Kate. Plus after necro you’ll have an amazing R5 champ to use in every game mode, with Aegon after necro you won’t touch him till the next Everest content.

Most people consider Titania into guardian the easiest path. Chavez synergy is nice for the extra coldsnap, I liked bringing Shuri as well, she’s amazing for necro and can make the Captain Britain fight easy if you play her with the no crit style. Things to make sure you have on your team, a mystic to counter Arkus, and airwalker. (I used Abs man) and bring a reverse control immune champ for grandmaster. It makes phase 4 much easier, and you can even use the reverse control immune champ for phase 3 the degen won’t kill you, it just brings you too low hp, which I found easier. Jugs is a great option but any immune champ works. Good luck with your run!
It depends. Aegon is more user friendly. You can quit to bank combo, plus bring the Synergy that gives a free combo shield, and once he's ramped he tears through (fairly easily). But, it takes like 10 Revives to get him fully ramped, which is less than ideal.
Kate is great, but her rotation is much more skill and timing intensive. If you mess up on the rotation, you lose a large chunk of damage and then have to spend time resetting.
Personally I hate the perfect release mechanic due to the constant input bugs in the game. I did path 2 with Kate and while it was cheaper it was also way more stressful and frustrating.
Kate is the better champ overall and is way more usable. Invest in her and you'll almost never need aegon. She works wherever aegon does including incursions.
I have both at r5 and ascended, but the thing is, if you ever want to use Aegon, this is your chance. Kate is going to be awesome for all kinds of content, Aegon won't be. He'll be awesome for THIS CONTENT. And while many will say that Aegon is the quicker and more expensive option (which is true), he's also the most fun option since you'll rarely be able to play him that way in any other type of content. Granted, there aren't that many places where you'll be able to place all of the trick arrows on an opponent before they're KO'd either, but going ham with Aegon is just fun. Being constantly unblockable with insanely hard-hitting basic attacks and mindboggling specials, where you don't stop even if you're hit (instead just getting a bunch of fury buffs that make you hit even harder)...that's just a super fun time. The only other place you can ramp up Aegon like that is in Incursions but even there, you'll just nuke down basically everything when you're at a combo of 999 and you've stocked up on various hacks.
So my advice would be to focus on Aegon and do your initial run with him, then focus on Kate because she's a more versatile champion in terms of the kinds of content where she shines.
Aegon bonus fact: next month, there will be some kind of Incursions event or objective or something that has a lot of runestones (for buying a 7* Nightcrawler with). So if that's something you want to go after, having a ranked-up Aegon isn't a bad thing at all. He's a monster in Incursions.

Oh, is that so? I only knew that there was an incursion event and nothing beyond that. But I guess that makes sense. If that's the case, disregard my earlier comment (because he is not a saga champ).
Well, disregard the part about him being useful specifically for next month's Incursions event. He'll still be a monster in general for Incursions.

Totally depends on your skill with Kate, buy I found it fun just smashing almost everybody, myself.
