You should do something with the mixing of matches.
I struggle to make 4 medals then, bammm Valiat Player
Why don't you mix matches by prestige.
10-12k vs. 10-12k
Play 10-12k against 24k
And if you're a good player, you still can't finish faster than a bit of a good player with hero pack every 30k

Also here is word from the mcoc discord from the game team about matchmaking.
Bigger accounts must be matched with bigger accounts what do u even mean.
And pikolu if a person wishes to proceed in battleground, he focuses on top 30 champs and of he focuses on top 5 champs for story progression. Atleast then the person has a choice. But here there is no choice or skill. What is cav or thronebreaker gonna do against a valiant, even paragon PPL can't compete with valients
You only struggle to pass 5 medals, you make 4, then immediately you become a player Par. Val. And again from. Start and so you play 8 days until you manage to move on to another medal 🥉
Like I said, many times I finish the fight with a full bar, but I lose because of time, how can you finish with a 16-17k hero against a 60-70k hero faster than a player who plays 30-40k against 30k
Can we stop making new "bad BG match making" every 3 days?!? If you are dissatisfied, there are already 137 threads on the subject (!!!!!)
But (!!!) BEFORE you complain, if you haven't explored act 8 and done necro, and have a deck that consists exclusively of R5s and 7R2+, You have little and nothing to do in the GC.
Focus on HQ, Necro, explore, rank up, evolve, improve, trust the process.

You have the same behavior as another account that was opened in April that exclusively talked about bg matchmaking and even took an entire screenshot to reply to someone instead of just using the Quote function just like that account did.

The thing you aren’t seeing is that there is not an equal amount of players in each progression level playing BGs. Even if similar sized accounts matched up early on you would eventually run out of similar sized accounts to match with.
The hard truth is your roster just isn’t developed enough to make GC. But that should be your motivation to progress your roster. Instead you want a shortcut unlike the paragon and valiant players who have done what’s needed to progress their rosters without the complaining you are doing.
They changed it twice. First, they changed it so that strength matching only happened mostly in the VT tiers below Platinum. Then they changed it again this season to remove it completely. People can keep asking for it, they can keep claiming it is better, but the simple fact of the matter is Kabam has already tried it, and seen with their own two eyes how bad it is. It is so bad, that not only did they remove it from higher tier VT, they even removed it from lower tier VT because it is so bad they didn’t like even the limited bad side effects it was having in just the lower half of VT.
The problem with people arguing that strength matching is better is that they are arguing the sky is green. We don’t *think* it is worse, we *know* it is worse because we can just look at it and *see* that it is worse.
At the end of the day, we can make things artificially worse for stronger players, or naturally worse for weaker players. In a competitive mode, the weaker players are supposed to lose to the stronger ones. The stronger ones are not supposed to watch the weaker ones pass them by and be told that it’s only fair that weaker players get to be hand carried to the finish line ahead of them.
The problem is that this is not an argument. This is not a case of trying to figure out what’s better. Kabam *looked* at strength matching, saw a dumpster fire, and decided to remove it. You can’t argue that the dumpster fire is fair and they should just grab some marshmallows.
Strength matching is not fair because it produces unfair results. It causes weaker players to advance faster than stronger ones, and it penalizes players for improving their roster. These are not guesses. This is demonstrated in the data, and most stronger players who have played the mode long enough have also seen these effects with their own two eyes. These are considered unacceptable results, period.
Anyone who wants to argue those results are worth the price to make some players more happy about their matches will have to find someone to argue with. The devs aren’t entertaining that argument. They’ve made a value judgment. Weaker players should only overtake stronger players if they face them. They are not allowed to overtake them without ever seeing them in competition.
The funny thing is, it is in the weaker players’ best interests to play as much as possible. The more weaker players there are, the more likely it is they will match against each other, and the more likely some of them will promote. The fewer that play, the less likely they will match against each other, and the more likely they will match against stronger players, because that’s all that’s left. Their fate is entirely in their own hands.
I’m a swipe and tap and hope for the best player.
Has probably been brought up before, but I think it would be cool to leave the main BGs as is.
Then have lower tiered ones with lower star characters only.
Like a 5* only tier, 4* etc.
Of course with lower rewards, but might alleviate some frustration from people that play that game mode for fun and just can’t win a fight.
Like a gentleman’s agreement of only using certain * champs?
Would be interesting to see players face each other on a more even playing field.

Now i understand it better, since weaker players keep competing against weaker opponents thay can progress faster than advanced players. From beginning I was stating an opinion, and when I was given disagreement with no explanation it was confusing. Now it is understood, I agree completely now but even still if similar level decks r gonna compete there will be difficulty then too right? The beginner decks are still gonna have to fight PPL similar to them. Maybe it doesn't work exactly how I run it in my mind. Anyway thanks for explaining. And wakandas_finest I'm paragon player too.
